Nice to have you both here, Bob and LibbyNorn.
I have a similar problem, Bob. I can't get Creatures to play on my MacBook Air with OS X. ![[ncrying] [ncrying]](/images/smilies/emot_crying.gif)

Hi folks,
Every so often I go back to my website and update it. Every year or so I play Creatures again. I started playing Creatures 1 in about 1998 and never moved on from it - the newer versions left me cold, though Creatures 4 looks interesting.
Looking around the web, although so many sites have gone (it *has* been 15+ years!) I'm amazed to see that people are still playing the original Creatures, and even still making cobs for it. I'm going to be redoing my website over the next month or two and - who knows? - maybe I'll even get it finished this time. |

Welcome, Nutter! C1 is still my favorite game in the series: It just feels so warm and joyful, and I've found that it's a great way to get involved with the more advanced features, like genetics. I'm in the process of updating all of the C1 Norn sprites and body data to get rid of the floating pixel issue, once and for all! It's great to have you back in the community: Good luck with your site! It looks like a great resource for C1 players!

Hey everyone!
So after neglecting my beloved creatures for a long time, I've decided to come back and rekindle my longtime obsession for the series. I've been introduced to Creatures through Creatures Adventures as a child and had since become fascinated with biology and caring for living things. This series had strongly influenced me in many ways, and I am very grateful for that. As a result, even as I grew older, I would always come back to this beautiful obsession of mine.
Sadly, it seemed as though not many people remain that hold the same adoration as I for Creatures. Docking Station is down, websites I used to go to for metarooms and norn breeds and agents are down, and that saddened me. Fortunately, one site I often visited for support on these games was still up and running: this one. And it made me very happy to see that this community is up-to-date and very much alive.
So now I am very happy to say that I'm a member and that I'm really looking forward to doing things with you guys! |

Thank you! I'll probably make some fanart soon, so you might see me posting some in the next few days. Also, I keep hearing about Survivor, so I might need to read up on that |

lol, like I said, I'd been gone so long I figured I might as well start from the beginning! I'm glad I wasn't completely forgotten though! I guess I'm more memorable then I give myself credit for.
With C4 around the corner, I figured there might be a number of new users, too; so it was only fair to introduce myself properly, just in case.
I should probably move out of this thread now that my re-introduction is done.
See you around the forums some time! ^^

I'm kind of new to this, but my name is Raymond and I discovered Creatures Docking Station in I believe 2011, but it would be safer to say 2012. One of my friends had recommended it to me and I was really excited about hearing all the free manipulation there was to it. It had taken me so many months trying to get on Docking Station after I realized i would never get a password... then I felt really dumb when I realized that a little farther down the page under the download for the game that there was a download to get on without a password. Then after feeling really dumb and glad at the same time I continued and had a lot of fun. I don't know anything about making agents or metarooms but I do try genetics within my worlds once in a while.
I am a huge fan of Creatures Docking Station. |

Hey Raymond! Welcome to the Creatures Community. It's always great to see a new face around here, and especially one interested in genetics! As someone hopeless with all genetic things I really appreciate everyone with those skills. Great to have you.
Welcome back Spykkie. I think it's hard to forget anyone in a community as small and loyal as ours. |

I joined here, finally. Hi everyone. My name is Jessica, I am excited about C4. I haven't been an active member of the Creatures Community for about ten years or so, but it's like riding a bike I imagine... if only I could actually ride a bike. Onwards and upwards! |

Hey there everybody! My name is Caroline, a geek who loves both technology and biology...after discovering a-life and Creatures I decided to snoop out some more info on it, and here I am.
So, uh, yeah...seeing as I just discovered this particular series, and the old PC was thrown out years ago, I haven't really been able to ever care for norns myself O///O Kinda disappointed about my rotten luck with the timeline. Looking forward to Creatures 4, though! I just hope it'll be like the ones before it so I don't miss out on any of the fun. |

Great to see you here, NornsOfOurAlbia! Always good to have another Jessica around, especially you!
Hi Caroline! It's awesome you found Creatures Caves: We're all geeks in our own rights, and fiercely loving of Creatures. If you're in need of any hints or tips on how to care for Norns, I'm sure many would be willing to help out! They can be difficult ones to manage at times, but I've never regretted spending time within the games. See you around the site!
And to everyone whom I haven't personally welcomed in awhile... Welcome aboard!

Hello Caroline, welcome to Creatures Caves! Nice to see you joining in already! I saw you were in CC Chat; sorry I was asleep and missed you.
I'd definitely recommend trying Docking Station when you can. Even though it's a standalone game, there's so many third-party agents and metarooms you can download to make your world bigger and better. In particular, check out the C12DS and C2toDS metarooms. (Unfortunately C12DS and C2toDS won't work together in one world, but you could always create separate worlds for each. When you do that it's like having multiple games in one)! |

Hello, I'm Jared, I'm just getting into the Creatures series, but I've been interested in it for a few years, and my sister used to like playing it when we had the Playstation version.
The community seems extremely friendly here and I'm excited to be a part of it and to start learning how to raise Norns.
Um, more about me, I really like film, anime/manga reading, playing games, and meeting new people. |

Hello, I'm Tess. Twenty years old and had a not-so-minor obsession with the Creatures series when I was a kid in the late nineties. The fact that it's not only resurfaced but has an actual fanbase is making me a bit speechless with happiness.
That's really all I can say. I have no special skills, I'm just an extremely long-term fan. ![[ngrin] [ngrin]](/images/smilies/emot_grin.gif)
Nothing melts my heart like hearing those three special words: "me like hand." |
