I'm just about to make myself a cup of tea. Anyone want to join me?
(Because this is Strangeo and I miss those random, general discussion topics of days past. Pour yourself a hot beverage, and let's chit-chat!)
I'm also listening to 'Happy', a new track from Marina and The Diamonds. I love it. |

Mmm, hot cocoa... I haven't had hot cocoa in a longgg time... And I probably won't for a while longer, thanks to this diet. Ooh, Jesseth! What kind of tea? I'm drinking mine white, with no sugar. |

It's just black tea with milk and a tiny bit of sugar this time! But I actually drink a pretty wide variety of hot drinks! Milky coffee, cocoa, herbal teas, blends, green.. It often largely depends on whether I need a pick me up or instead need to wind down cx
I tend to be a very sleepy kind of person who if left alone naps a lot, so I've ended up really appreciating coffee haha!
If I'd made my own tea, I probably would have gone and found my nice green tea with cranberry and rose that I got for christmas from my dad c:

I feel like the odd one out in that I don't drink tea or coffee. It's mostly just milk and water, with the occasional orange juice.
I'm listening to Tomorrow is Mine, from the Bayonetta 2 soundtrack. Fantastic song though I'm reminded that I'm going to need a Wii U eventually eheh. |

oh man, I swear one day in the distant future I will buy a wii-u just so that I can play bayonetta 2 c'x
I'm actually listening to rain noises.. I find them calming. If any of you was curious or likes playing with sound files, this is actually a really fun site! also there's a lot of spaceship and sci-fi ambiences people have made.. and some cafe ones, very shee! c:

*slurps hot coco and enjoys the company* I soo want a wii u! Mostly because of the zelda-games and that mario game where you can wear a catsuit!
I'm listening to my computer-fan, and since I'm supposed to be working *coughs* I have a tv-show running in the background when I don't need to concentrate on writing a lot of english, then I paus it. English can be so hard at times! |

*pokes head in with a cold drink* I have a Wii U! Worth the money, though I don't think it was when it first came out it sure is now. Lots of good games for the thing!
I just played Just Dance and I am sweating like crazy... never get dragged into things like that...

Just Dance sounds like loads of fun, but I don't think I'd ever get anything done if we had it. I'm looking into getting a Wii U but wasn't sure about the game library at first. I'm glad it's got more worthwhile titles now, though.

I'd say that the Wii U is close to the Gamecube inasmuch as most of the worthwhile titles right now are first-/second-party and not as much by third-party developers, though there are some exceptions. And the Virtual Console library and indie titles on the market for it are pretty great too! So yeah, it's worth it now I think, though I am sad the console still isn't doing well. I'm a total Nintendo nerd.

Nintendo has gone kind of hardcore on the whole 'indie-devs should be promoted'-thing. Lots of talk about that, so not so surprising
Yeah, the wii u isn't selling as good as it should, which is a shame, but on the plus-side, The 3DS is blooming in sales which is all YAY! |

Jesseth, that green tea with cranberry and rose sounds amazing! I'm on my third cuppa, with sweetener this time. Have you ever tried the 'Rose Garden' blend by Twinings? I keep a supply of it in the cupboard, for those days when I need something a little extra to help me unwind. It's a gorgeous, delicate tea with the sweet scent of roses. You can have it with a drop of milk, according to your taste, but I always drink it black.
I love my Nintendo 3DS XL, so much! I really want to get my hands on 'Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate', (it looks sooo good, if the trailer's anything to go by!) and get back into 'Animal Crossing: New Leaf' again. I can't even remember who my villagers are now, except that one of them is Stitches. I could use their company, especially on these nights when it's just me in the flat! |

The 3DS really is a great portable system! Have you heard that the New 3DS XL is coming out Feb 13? I only have a regular 3DS so I'm pretty stoked for it, I want the bigger screen! Apparently this one will have better load times, amiibo support, and another control pad. I just want a bigger screen

... Man, darn my lack of employment and funds! What is amiibo support? The 3DS XL is definitely a great step up from the regular 3DS. I bought a regular 3DS initially, but quickly felt like it wasn't sufficient! I love the bigger screen. Gameplay just feels so much nicer and immersive with it. |

Oh oh oh! I have animal crossing! Laura Laura! If you ever wanna play with me I'd love to! We can visit each other And stuff!
Yesssss, the new 3ds is amazing! They upgraded the hardware for it and a bunch of yummy things. I wish I could afford it. I too, sadly, have the regular 3ds, though I wish I had the XL version at the least xD Oh well!
Amiibo are those little plastic things that you can activate with the wii u (and soon 3ds I'm gathering?) and they will play certain games for you and get you like lil rewards and such while you are not playing the game |

Little plastic things... What, those miniature figurines? It doesn't seem like something I'd be into, but it sounds like it's great for kids.
And sure, Jcnorn, I'd be up for that! I'll let you know when I start playing again. I might also need to tidy up my town first; it's probably Weed City, with my name being mud to every inhabitant. In the meantime, I bet you'll like The Big Animal Crossing Topic. My Friend Code should be in this topic too. |

To be fair, grabbing a cat's tail doesn't seem very polite.
I just finished editing down some videos for a Let's Play channel I've started. I'm not 100% in love with what I've done, but I'm never going to learn how to improve if I don't start getting my work out there.

Yay, kitties! I miss my cats...
My GF got us a Wii U some time ago. I wasn't really in favour of getting a console for a game that hasn't been released yet, and at the time, the games that were already released weren't things we really wanted to play. We haven't had the time to pick up Bayonetta 2 yet. The games we do have are Super Smash Bros., Pikmin 3, The Wonderful 101, and Earthbound.
They are for the most part enjoyable... but to tell the truth, I haven't "had a blast" with the Wii U. I'm not that into puzzles or action-focused platformers, which seem to make up most of the Wii U's library. Those kinds of games need to have something else to endear me to them, like a narrative, beautiful scenery, an enjoyable soundtrack, other interesting mechanics, etc. I'm more into (good) simulation games and other games where you build and grow things, whether it's a habitat or a relationship. I was hoping that Nintendo would foster the development of more of these types of games, since everybody else seems keen on wrecking them for profit, and Nintendogs and Animal Crossing were so successful. It would've been nice if they had taken the developer of de Blob (fun game with fun music!) under their wing after THQ went bankrupt. Maybe they could've even made a fun zoo management sim for the Wii U, since they already have experience in the genre with Jurassic Park: Operation Genesis.
There are a number of games in the Wii U's library that I would've picked up if I didn't already have them on other systems, like Another World and Stick it to the Man. Citizens of Earth is coming out in five days and that looks like it could be a lot of fun, but I'm going to wait for reviews, and for my schedule to allow more free time. |

Well,it definitely gets her butt off my screen.
I'm working on the elemental squirrels to go with the elemental trees right now,so that the trees don't overpopulate all over the place if the native Norns don't eat seeds or there are no Norns at all. |

To add to the 3DS discussion, being an American I'm actually quite irritated with Nintendo and the N3DS release. I have zero interest in the XL version which is all we're getting when all other regions have the option between regular size and XL. :/
Ahhh man, Operation Genesis. How I wish the game had fully supported modding and not suffered cut content, it deserved so much better than the final result. Even to this very day, adding skins and "new" dinosaurs is a very hacky method compared to most moddable games. |
