This is the first Wolfling Run of mine that's truly come to an end and the highest generation I've ever reached without something like the Highgen Generator. At roughly Generation 1000, I noticed how my dragons were aging to Youth immediately upon birth and also giving birth immediately after becoming pregnant. With that, I decided to take the run to a new world, and they survived another thousand and a quarter generations without food. The run is pretty much dead to me at this point. They aren't interesting to observe anymore, and their breeding habits are worse than those of the original Spam Norns. You could say that the run got cancer, hence the name. So, I exported six individuals, and now they're here. If the name is problematic, I'll gladly change it, but cancer cells are really the only thing to compare these Norns to.

The breed is largely unrecognizable as the dragons they descended from, from appearance to genetics. Having survived over a thousand generations with no food, they've lost the ability to gain nutrition from critters. Food gives them starch and a little bit of protein, but I have no idea what they can get fat from, or if they can even get it at all. They can't survive on land, unlike the dragons, who were amphibious, and since they don't gain anything from eating animals, they can't produce swimmerase or flyerase. There always seems to be some amount of Antigen 3 in their system for some reason, but there are never any bacteria. I may have left a few details out, but that's pretty much it in a nutshell.

They never stopped aging up to Youth and giving birth instantly, by the way. If you want to try to continue this ungodly mess of a lineage, have at it. There are probably some interesting mutations for gengineers to look at, too.

Cancer Cell Norns having low mutation rates is pretty ironic.

I downloaded these guys earlier and messed with them for a bit. I noticed a bunch of things not mentioned above.

All of the norns in the pack are purple, with identical appearance genes. In my game, they have no tails, and their body gene are alien ettins (I have winged ettins, they did not show for me). Upon letting them loose to be norns, the originals died within 6 minutes, and their descendants.. very few were purple, and most look like normal bruin norns with no tail genes. The ones that did had an extra organ, that seemingly controlled their appearance, but this organ was lost in the population entirely within two generations. The rest of them seemed unchanged, despite the dramatic shift in appearance. Some also have no muscles, while others do.

I crossbred them with some CFE boney grendels, and it turns out that they actually lack most of their appearance genes - the 'grendel' hybrids lost their bruin appearance and turned into jungle grendel monsters (without pigment). It took on average about 4 generations of breeding to the grendel donor to have a viable crossbreed. One of the 'first generation' crossbreeds got a random different organ, and ages at almost the pace of a normal norn despite both donors aging quickly. Cancer norns in the group with this organ (rare) age like normal cancer norns.

These guys don't sleep. They eat seeds sometimes, but ignore critters. They only ever have one expression. If given toys they obsessively push them unless a norn of opposite gender is around. They have very, very low mutation rates - point mutation is between 1-4, and normally at the lower end.

I can't say I understand what's going on with this genome, but whatever it is it's a lot.

I'd love to know what you get

When I get my computer back I have got to run the DNA on these through GeneCompare.
