| Allora is one of my v3.0 Dragon testers. The Dragon 3.0 genome is based on CFF 1.1. The Readme has more details, but, long story short, Allora is the most dramatic example I have of a Norn who experienced hallucinations while chemical 130 was NOT in her system. Unlike most other such Norns, she had been previously exposed to it, but it had worn off a while before I noticed her exhibiting the aberrant behavior. Perhaps -because- she'd been exposed to it, though, her non-130 hallucinosis was much wilder than the other specimens I've seen of this phenomenon. If you decide to observe her, please let me know what you notice, even if it's nothing at all! Thank you. |

Just so everyone knows, the issue with her was figured out. Turns out she wasn't hallucinating, she was tracking CAs. It's just that Dragons in the past very rarely did CA-tracking travelling because being carnivorous meant they couldn't track food by smell anymore and most Norn navigation by smell concerns food. They also were unable to track Norn Home because Norn Home is no longer relevant to them - they get comfort from the presence of their own kind. So Dragons typically don't scent track. Ever.
But when I began changing their genome to encourage them to travel more, and added the Prey Scent agent that allowed them to track their edibles by scent once more, that's when I began to see these cases of "non-130 hallucination". Intyalle is the one who figured out that they were actually travelling by following CAs, and that the CRC and HealthBar were displaying that information rather than a hallucination.
So the mystery has been solved, but you're still welcome to download and play with her if you want to see a very early preview of what I'm working on. Alas, she predates most if not all of the brain edits, and has a very wonky metabolism, but she does have a poorly balanced version of the whole GLP-glycolipid-motase-swimmerase-flyerase chemistry thing. And she's pretty cute. Just don't let her breed with anything but a male clone of herself! Bad things are almost 100% guaraneed to result.

They can do both - they just need to eat properly to fuel the reaction that makes swimmerase and flyerase. I did mention they have metabolic issues though - I'm still trying to make that stuff work properly.
FWIW, 'look' is no different than any other act when it comes to phantoms. Bizarre as it seems, they seem to be able to believe themselves to be looking when they're not! Or at least they aren't looking at what they think they are. It's hard to interpret the 'phantom' ones.

So far, I've put her in Artemia Sea and left her to have a zillion babies with a male clone of herself, then monitored her for a while. She only had one hallucination for half a second and did some phantom stuff that probably wasn't really actual phantoms because it just consisted of looking at things. Also, it seems like none of the dragons from the colony I've started with her can swim or fly.
EDIT: Some of them can swim, but not many.
