 | All I wanted to do was perform a relaxing, no-holds-barred splice project to produce aesthetically pleasing, tall, leggy norns that were great for carrying delicate equipment and fine china.
What I got was a dumb, smiling mass-murderer with a fluffy tail, very little real anger, and no remorse. At first he was harmless, but nowadays he hones right in on other norns and barrels over to slap them to death. I just had to put him on ice and stop the madness before it got even more out of hand.
Of course, maybe someday I'll look back at his genetic samples and go "Gee, this crackpot genome might be handy for making a different breed!", but right now, he's just a threat to the developing strain he was spawned from (and my sanity!). At least he's not aggressive towards anything else... shee included.
Please, somebody take care of him better than he's taken care of his fellow creatures. Then again, that shouldn't be too hard.
- The Crafty Shee
(P.S. Just so you're prepared, Hyuppe's... unnecessary instincts might be due to him being a complete mish-mosh of several different breeds, species, and brain structures; from standards to CFEs and CFFs. I haven't bothered picking him apart yet to see what makes him tick, but perhaps you'll be able to have some fun with him!) |

See https://creaturescaves.com/downloads.php?section=Breeds&view=607 for a breed of Hyuppes ????

Yeah, if he still had the stimulus, then even if he didn't directly get punishment chemical itself from it, if he got pain, the drive increase would translate to punishment, and it would still be somewhat effective (although less than normal). Unless he was mutated enough that getting slapped actually gave him a total overall DECREASE in drives, in which case he'd get reward instead and actually like getting slapped, even if it is a little painful.

So, through use of "targ norn chem 205 1," this guy is now a lot like any other Norn. Also, he seems to have no "slapped by hand" stimulus.

I'm pretty sure the pain of him being slapped should atleast create the connection that whatever he is doing = pain, but not punishment.

The word "no" is not even implemented into the vast majority of genomes. You have to explicitly add it to the genome when you make a new breed.

Well, I'll try CAOS when I get DS working again.

@savannahs11 Oh my God. That is absolutely incredible. THAT would explain why he didn't start going on his happy rampage until he slapped his first norn. Before then, he didn't KNOW there was pleasure in it. Once he knew, that was it. God what have I made. I'm so glad I made an egg agent of him now. Time for a new A+ difficulty breed of pain.

So, I just discovered that taming Hyuppe is literally impossible without CAOS or some other way of injecting chemicals, because Hyuppe can't feel punishment from being slapped by the Hand or the word "no." Also, he gains reward from hitting Norns.

@savannahs11 Good luck! He ignores slaps religiously, but then again, I didn't try too many times! Maybe you'll have better time of it.

I think I'll tame him.
