It is important to understand how these Ettins work, as they're not like the usual Ettins! They communicate with each other using pheromones, can sense location, and can distinguish between members of their own species. As with a hive, a queen dominates the males. The information about these Ettins seems to suggest that they are one of the first breeds to have a sense of empathy. This is in reference to the way they care for the queen, and can learn concepts related to her drives. To have the Hive Mind Ettins work correctly, make sure to inject the Hivemind.cob included with the download along with a COB that allows C2 Ettins to breed. They typically require comforting tickles from time to time to keep them from being constantly afraid of everything around them. Dusky Grendels do not have any mating instincts, but they have longer lifespans and improved immune systems.
