Posting Adoptions Website Malkin | 5/4/2013 | 5 | How to post creatures in the Creatures Caves Downloads section.
The first thing to do when choosing a creature to upload to Creatures Caves is to make sure it has a clear picture, to make a good first impression!
While in your game, press the 'Print Screen' (or 'Prt Scn') button on your keyboard once to take a screenshot of your chosen creature. Next, open an image program, (like 'Microsoft Paint') and hit Ctrl+V on your keyboard to paste your screenshot into it. Then save it as a .JPG, .JPEG, .PNG or .GIF file. For Creatures 3 or Docking Station creatures, you can also use The Creature Repository's C3 Creature Picture Extractor. If so, make sure you've taken a clear photo before exporting them!
Please note that the recommended dimensions for adoption images is 120 x 150 pixels.
Next, export the creature from your game, and then copy and paste its .creature file (or they're called .exp files if the creature?s exported from C1 or C2) into a zipped folder by right-clicking anywhere on your Desktop background, scrolling to 'New' and selecting 'Compressed (Zipped) Folder'. Then copy and paste the .creature file inside it.
Once you've done that, you're ready to submit your creature using the Post Adoption Form in the adoption section:
Simply fill out 'Name', 'Details' and 'Generation' accordingly, choose which breeds' sprites your norn needs and then use the 'Browse' buttons, next to the 'Image' and 'Zip File' fields, to locate the image you made earlier and your creature's zip file. You can also write a short description of your creature in the 'Description' box if you want.
Finally, click the 'Post' button, and you're away! You just have to wait for your adoption to be approved by a manager or by an administrator before it?ll appear in the adoption section.
To upload a CreatureLink creature for adoption, please see the CreatureLink Guide.

I already approved the download. See if you can edit it now. If that doesn't work, just resubmit the download with the correct details, and we can delete the old one for you.

How do I re-edit a submission that have not yet been approved?
I figured out I did not indicate some information about one of the norns I submitted and I forgot to put the .creature file in a zip.

Apparently you have to save PNGs as PNG-24 (24 bit) also known as 'Save for Web' in order for them to be accepted by CC.com.

Yes, the non-CreatureLink adoptions section allows unlimited downloads by unlimited users.

I have a question about this process. It looks like CreatureLink is designed to allow each creature to be adopted by one user only. Does the adoptions section allow unlimited people to have a copy of the exported creature?
