The Creatures Community has long been a group with a mix of sexes and genders. It is also one where acceptance is expected of our members, as it is a community where we should all be able to feel welcome no matter how we identify ourselves. While I can appreciate the interest, in a gaming community the sex and gender of someone is irrelevant. They should be judged by their personality, and by the content of their posts, not by their genetic makeup. :)

It's funny because I'm surprised in the opposite way - I thought there would be an even split between male and female but currently the poll shows that those who identify as females outnumber their male counterparts 2 to 1!

Best to wind down this conversation. Everyone's opinions are appreciated and respected, but I think the main point of this poll was just to get an idea of the split between guys and girls. I hadn't realized that it was a lot more evenly split... Thought our group was mostly comprised of females! Just goes to show that Creatures can be approached by nearly anyone!

Sorry. The Feminist Biologist in me kind of came out.

Although I have to say that the CC has been much more respectful then what usually happens.

Also, why should we need to discuss people's gender and/or sex if it's a personal thing? Aren't we here for support and a mutual interest in the games? I don't think anyone should have to justify their beliefs about their gender because other people don't understand it. I'm not meaning to be rude, but it's just not something we should put down about others because we don't understand it.

I don't think our Creatures community should go into these kinds of discussions, for the same reason we're asked to avoid subjects like politics or religion. It's the kind of subject where, given the wrong fuel, everybody can sound wrong; no matter where they stand or how good their initial intentions are...

Well said, kezune. The Creatures Community should be welcome to everyone!

It isn't all that weird, Charity. It's part of Biology. :3
