Other could also be eunuchs, though I'm not sure many of them still exist now days.

 | Hmm I never heard of someone using male/female to specify the sex and masculine/feminine to specify the gender. I like how that splits up the terminology ... though I fear they still get confused too easily. Thanks Feddlefew

"Hermaphrodite" is the word you're looking for, although human's can't be "true" hermaphrodites (capable of producing both viable sperm and eggs) because of how sex determination in humans works. Intersex people are much, much more common.

There are also people who are, uh, how to say it? They are born with both starter packs.

I consider being trans to fall under the "what you are" part. I'm sorry I didn't make that clearer.

Some people might have the "parts" of one sex or the other, but identify as the opposite, neither, or somewhere in between!
Gender is a fluid thing. You don't have to just be either a boy or a girl.

Well, there are gender homosexual, trans, and intersex people.... But I think a lot of the confusion your having is that the pole is mixing two separate axis, the Male-Female and Masculine/Feminine. The first is what you are biologically, the second is who you are socially.

To be completely honest, that confuses me, though I've no objection to it. I'm guessing you do not feel that you are a member of either gender inside your head?

But-but.... Male and Female are sexes, not genders! O_O
