Does anyone have any pointers on how to analyse the D-DNA files from a wolfling run, with a mind to showing how certain mutations persist in a population? (for example, mutations regarding a less-troubled response to crowding seem to be selected for). I have a wolfling run of about 160 generations of purebred TWB treehuggers and I'd like to understand what's happened to them over time.

I vaguely recall there being a bit of software called Gene Compare? GenCompare? There were a lot of fairly similar programs released towards the end of C2 and the start of C3. Slink had a Digital DNA Analyser, I think. There were definitely programs about where you could
In terms of practical pointers, I'd check on one for one every ten generations or so and then focus on any really interesting changes by picking the halfway point between, say, generation 50 and 60 by checking in 55 and seeing if it's present, then work back if it is and forward if it's not until you find the point of mutation. |
