C1 egg won't hatch...why?

During a 'supervised' wolfing, a female had an egg, which has stayed in the beginning stage of growth indefintely. I know that they will sometimes not grow if there are too many norns, but the two eggs that were had in quick succession after this egg grew fine. Suggestions?

Also, I had a very special norn (Full grown at birth, Zues, and Sweetie) have two eggs at once, recently. How rare is that, in terms of C1?

The egg is stuck? The C1 Pregnacy Tool Kit (http://sheryl.albia2000.com/C1cobs.html) can probably help with your problem. Just use the Egg Pauser to let that egg grow to it's full size, but it won't be able to hatch on its own, so place it in the incubator to hatch.

(Remember, 12 Norns is the population limit. If you download Terra Nornia at Ambercreatures, you can hold up to 23 Norns.)

After it hatches, then use the Egg Unpauser to let the other eggs in Albia grow or hatch naturally agian.

About the twin eggs... that's definately not a common thing in C1. I searched on the web for the rarity of C1 twins, but I couldn't find anything except that it was rarely seen by even the most experienced breeders. :o You're lucky!

I second Hawksight's recommendation about the Egg Pauser cob.

The twins are a pretty rare occurrence... the one time I've seen it documented was on Muppetboy's Geatville. This site is now down, but I remember that it was some kind of progesterone mutation, and my impression was that essentially she was too quick for the game to notice she was pregnant before she became pregnant again. (If that makes sense...) The only other case I can think of is Ava from Winter Blue Albia. It might be worth your while to export the mother and put her up for download here or on The Creature Repository.

If you get twins, don't get too excited. If all goes well, one is going to be a purebred banana norn. There's something at the Creatures Jungle about a similar thing, and that's what happened.

Thanks for the egg cob trick. I'll try it.

The eggs where on the grown less than 20 seconds apart. They were a boy and girl, who both resemble their mother and each other, and they have different genetic monikers. Also, the girl, Jean, is a zues, who hovers around 98% health. The boy, Gene (original, I know) isn't, and he stays at 77%, just like 'normal' norns. She is also quite a bit smarter than him. In short, they are very average full--siblings. Also, just like their mother, they were born full-grown and ready to mate. I was pretty happy about that since that's one of the things I'm going for in my selective breedings. So...not a banana norn.

I will put Chyna up for adoption, btw, and I would love if everyone would take a look at her and give me an opinion. I would also like copies of any young she may produce, for my own line-purity purposes. Thanks!

Edit: Quick update - the cob worked, and the egg went from tiny to ready to hatch as soon as I used the cob. I now have a healthy Baby boy named 'Hawk.' Thanks guys. :)

Hey Sissy, instead of double posting, (posting one post after another, so that there's two posts in a row) we prefer that you use the edit button at the top of your posts, () to add something else to your previous post. I know it sounds it sounds like we're being a bit picky, but keeping down the number of double posts helps to make post counts more accurate, and keeps forum load times down. Thanks. :)

I'm glad the cob worked, Sissy2007. :) I hope you enjoy spending time with little Hawk!

Well, unfortunately little Hawk appeared to have some serious brain damage. Sorry.

Oh, and I've confirmed it...the double egg thing is something this new breed I'm working on does naturally. It just happened again to Chyna's daughter, Jean. Also, Jean's pregnacies lasted seconds. She had four eggs in about ten minutes. Anyone else think that that is pretty darn cool?

I need similar names for twins. Last time it was a boy and a girl. Keep in mind I have over 200 norns and have used most of the common names. Any suggestions?

I think that's pretty cool. 8)

Ah... the twin naming trouble. It's hard to come up with good names for Norns... what are they like and what do they look like?
