Ettinfreak is dying to become a member, but mom won't let him have an account! If your mom says he can't have an account, and he doesn't even have computer-access, I see no reason why you should pursue it. |

This is something that you probably don't want to hear, but this could well be one of those "respect your parents' wishes" things... I don't know how your Mom would react if she found out that your brother had gone behind her back, but I don't want to advise it. A better and more diplomatic thing to do would be to try and have a good, sensible talk with her about it - see what she thinks and explain why you don't agree, and maybe try to see if there's any possible workarounds. If she still says that Ettinfreak cannot have an account just yet, then she probably has a good reason and one that you should respect. She is your Mom after all. Yep. I got board acsess with my first Neopets account. 6 months later: Kicked for swearing. In fact I probably shouldn't even be on this. Hell, I'm only turning 12 in two weeks. ps. I haven't played Monster Raannnrrrnnchhdoggy |

I would do anything to get my own account. (I do have a computer, but I can only use the internet on my big sister's.) I'll talk with my mom. ...anywho, he really doesn't use the swear words. Only swear symbols.  He knows how to use the internet correctly and I think an email address wouldn't do any harm (except spammers). I don't see why mom won't let him have his own account.Hawksight |

As a parent, I have to say I'd much rather be asked about net access instead of having my child sneak behind my back & do it (though thankfully that's a long way off yet - he's only 2!). That way at least he'd feel free to be able to come to me if he needed help with anything. Or at least I'd hope he would! I'd also like to think he was being polite on forums & not making a bad name for himself. I know a few regulars had less-than-sterling beginningsinto the world of Creatures, but eventually calmed down to become productive & well liked. Once they stopped calling people names every 10 minutes and learned that just because you can't see the person you're talking to, they're still human. A flaming post seems so much easier than screaming in someone's face, but just because it's impersonal, doesn't make it hurt less at the other end. Oh, not having a go at anyone personally with that last bit, just an observation from being online a while (and being a grumpy old fart). Watch enough flame wars & you'll probably come to similar conclusions. Back again! Beware! |

Make sure he doesn't sneak behind your parents back. I once suffered the consequences: I once made a myspace cuz all my friends had one than my mom found out and made me delete it. I became over critical to myself. Trust me nobody wants to feel that way.  |
