Hi,
I got the Build 4b installed, mostly because I wanted to try and experiment with Neuro Emitter.
Has anyone else installed this engine here in the group?
I can't seem to get the Neuro Emitter to work for whatever reason.
Appreciate you hear from you.
cheers,
Peter

The thing about neuroemitters is that they don't work the way you think they'd work. The main thing is that "sample rate" is actually clock rate, like with organs; the default values are so low that they might as well do nothing. You'd probably need to up them to somewhere around .502.
And for that matter, at least the original Genetics Kit is lying to you about what lobe's selected; it's one off (either up or down; e.g. if you wanted to select the stim lobe you'd either have to select the noun lobe or the drive lobe in a vanilla genome).
All in all, they strike me as a very last minute addition in development and might not even be worth the effort to try and make work.
Granted, I also haven't really messed with them in CE myself.

Yeah you're right, the Neuro Emitters are tricky for sure. I actually got one to run somewhat. I used the Gene Lome to edit and try some things. But it doesn't seem to work all the time. I used the same Gno to inject into the game and it works for some norns and not for the next one, not sure why.
For a tester I use the Brain Chemical 09, I adjusted the half-live accordingly and set the chemical emitted to 1.000 and the sample rate to 0.984 to test. The tissue is 3(stim) and the neuron is (36) Norn which worked and I got it to work using the 9(attn) - so when a norn payed attention to another norn it would trigger the emitter successfully. It's not tied into anything yet so it has no affect.
Just an update, I know you don't work with it lol just fun to talk about it and hear some opinion.
