It looked like a good idea to me to make a thread to discuss everything about the beta coming soon. I'm very hyped about the announcement, but I'm also dissapointed at a few things. Like it only being on iOS and europe only. I don't think it's a clever move to exclude so many people from the beta by this. But lets just hope there will be other bèta's for other regions and platforms as well. (just not on FC's timescale of ''soon'') So who is trying to get beta acces? I'm really hoping there will be an other way than that contest. |

I don't own a iOS Device, maybe i will try to borrow one @ work. But i also dislike the Idea of a iOS only Beta. moep! |

I'd be intrigued to try Creatures Online on my iPad, and get a proper look at how Fishing Cactus have done things. This may change, but is it bad to admit that at the moment I'm not too excited? |

No, I don't think so. Everyone's entitled to feel however they want. Honestly, I'm not too excited, either. I'll try my best to give it a fair chance once it's released for IOS in the US (so I can play on my iPad) but I'm certainly not getting my hopes up. They've pretty much been down since I watched the last live stream of the game and none of the news since then has changed my opinion. I don't know if it'll be -bad- but I certainly don't think it'll live up to the previous installments to the series. Updated Rehosting Policy[/title] |

It's unfortunate everyone's excitement for this game has dropped so much. But I can understand why. I mean.. ios, f2p.. I really think this is going to end up as the flavor of the month kiddies facebook game that is going to be forgotten once the new trend pops in. But this also makes me really curious for the beta, I want to see what they made of it so bad. I really wished we could have a pc version. I don't have an Ipad unfortunately, so I'll have to play it on my tiny phone screen, which would be really annoying I think. And I think pc games hold up for longer than phone games. |

I was under the impression that it's going to be released for PC as well, perhaps not for the beta, but on the final release? Maybe I've been living under a rock. |

Yeah but I think they also said something about the PC release being later than ios release. And we all know FC's timescale o,o It looks like they're focussing on making it a phone game. |

I received a rather not-so-promising response from the product manager at ProSieben when I inquired about the PC/Mac version: PC/ Browser version might still be possible, but not in the near future. We will first do an iOS and then an Android release. But I will write you down, so that we won’t miss giving you a beta code should the PC version come. It seems like that's now just a possibility, not a guarantee, and isn't planned anytime soon. I can't play mobile games since my eyes just hate the tiny screen, and I don't have an iPad. I'm with everyone here about not being too excited about it, though... I don't want it to fail, but I have basically no interest in playing it (even if I could play it). I know I'm not the only one who can't enjoy it, which is a shame! But hopefully this will help bring some publicity to the Creatures series so new players can find out what the original games are like. |

Wow, so they've gone and sold us out for the mobile gaming market? Quite a significant amount of my hope for this game has gone out of the window. It's hard to believe a game as great as the Creatures series has been dumbed down into a poxy free-to-play mobile app.  |

It's really a very special accomplishment that FC made it possible that creatures fans don't want to play the sequel we've been waiting for for years. If it will be on ios/android only I also have no interest in it, thinking about the tiny screen which I have to see my norns on just makes me cringe. Anything about mobile games makes me cringe. About the beta again, now that that contest is over, I really hope there will be other oppertunities for us to get beta acces. I really don't want to answer useless trivia's to get beta acces. |

Oh. PC version isn't in the near future? I had a little bit of hope it would be an okay or decent game, but not anymore. I don't have a mobile device that can run it anyway. The closest thing I have is an ancient Kindle that I'm surprised even still runs. It can run my browser on it, but probably not a game like CO. I appreciate them creating a new game, and I hope they make all of the money they've sunk into the game. But, they've lost whatever little interest I had left. The Mobula Ray - My Creatures blog |

From what I heard, after beta Android, and PC will be available. Beta could be 3 to 4 months. Then again Firefall has been in open beta at least a year now. EA region locks their beta on iOS. I suppose it is common practice. iOS also doesn't allow jail breaking, and doesn't need anti virus. I suppose FC chose it for their beta as being the most secure. It’s a me! I don't have any money... So I get as many free games as possible like warthunder world of tanks league Simpsons tapped out and fruit ninja. These are all gr8 games if you don't live in the craaazzyy Europe countries(like NATO lol silly Europe). i think we probably will get the PC/MAC version just as they said not straight away. i'm willing to wait because i mean we've waited this long right? and besides that its free to play so there isn't any loss on our part. i know they are hoping by having the in game fees to help collect money but i still think they would have been better off if they made us buy the game and thats that, open up an online store after for things like special areas or breeds or gadgets and just go from there |
