I finally lost the last shreds of my patience with one of the male norns from my recent lab experiment -- his favorite activity of all seemed to be hitting other norns, and I've had to punish him so often that he now says he hates me. Well, I decided to export him to the Norn Meso (since all the other norns are living in a metaroom isolated from the HLM) so that he couldn't slap anyone anymore. There's plenty of food and toys, so I knew he wouldn't get in trouble -- he's proven that he can keep himself sufficiently fed and amused.
Anyway, after I exported him to the Meso, I felt a twinge of misgiving since I didn't want him to be all by himself...so I imported another female which I'd bred in a different game. It didn't surprise me at all when one of the first things he did was to hit her...but it *did* surprise me when she turned around and gave him a taste of his own medicine! After she'd smacked him around a bit, they quickly quieted down...and not only did they not hit each other anymore, they started tickling and then kiss-popping each other. I guess what Simba was really looking for was a woman who could give as good as she gets and knock him around a little (he *does* have Hardman genes in his background)...
Norns...sheesh! ![[nlaugh] [nlaugh]](/images/smilies/emot_laugh.gif) |

LOL! Nice little story. It's fun seeing their behaviours change like that. I was a dog trainer for all of last year and we saw this stuff happen all the time with them, where it just took another dog to 'yell' at a particular trouble child for them to just calm down.

It always amazes me that, given their brains are so basic, real differences in character and behaviour can be seen - not in every case, but certainly often enough to be interesting. |

Agreed, It truly makes all the creatures interesting. I wonder if temperaments are passed down. =) Hmmm *scurries off to start a new experiment*
Just your neighborhood Youkai dropping by =)
