Sepiana is one of my norns who ether has the worst luck I've ever seen or is one of those who get the short stick genetically. The reason I say that is because she has glycotoxin even she's only a minute old. I've heard that glycotoxin is gotten by either eating detritus or is gotten from bacteria floating around the ship and I know that she didn't eat detritus(is it even possible for a regular norn to eat it?)so she would have to have gotten it from bacteria within her first 10 to 20 seconds. Now she could also have it by a mutation that causes glycotoxin to be one of her starting chemicals. Either way, the outlook is grim for her. I'll try my best to save her but no guarantees, but if she does make it I'll use this topic to document her first hour of life.
PS: The reason I don't take a look at her genome is because well, I've only been playing creatures for a couple months now and I'd rather take baby steps into the more advanced things. |

Arnica cures glycotoxin. You can find that in Elixir of Arnica from the med bay, or in Peaking Pies.

Sepiana has survived her first 10 minutes and is perfectly healthy! Now we just have to see what the future brings. |

=D I'll be cheering for Sepiana. If you have docking station you could put her in the little monitoring chamber (Doesn't know what it is really called) or you could download http://creaturescaves.com/downloads.php?section=COBs&view=31 if you haven't already. It's been a life saver for my newly spliced creatures and just hatched.

It's quite possible for a regular norn to eat detritus, but unlikely - as they've got no instincts for it, and are far more likely to pick up seed, fruit, or food first.

Yeah. The only time my nontoxic norns ever eat detritus is occasionally when i'm teaching them the word, and they curiously pick it up. lol. Glad she's ok!

Sorry for not updating her condition everyone! Been busy on other projects and reading my new books! She's perfectly healthy and has learned her vocab! I will be putting her up for adoption after breeding her a few times to check that any children she has will probably be normal if anybody's wondering what I'll do with once she has grown up. |
