I'm sure everybody here has had a funny case of norn stupidity or silliness, right? Here you can post those stories so everyone can see them. And they can happen in any game, from a norn eating some deathcap after just recovering from a nasty illness in C1, to a norn repeatedly gong out into the rain even though he'll get cold in CV. |

I've been raising Battle Norns, and have run into one little problem...they like other creatures almost automatically and won't fight until they sleep and forget them.
Also, sometime during 2011, I inseminated Gaia. She never did lay the egg, though. In addition to that, I used the inseminater to take two samples from Gaia and impregnate a Norn. The egg hatched into a male Gaia. Wait, does that even count as a Norn story?

Well I've got a funny story in C1 for everyone to laugh at. I was tending to a sick norn and went to check on my male norns. They were having a little bachelor party in the cave where the deathcap is....They were definitely not happy when I freaked out and took them back to the surface, so they tried to go back down! Amazingly, nobody had taken a bite of the deathcap which was a relief. |

One time, on Creatures Adventures, I was very concerned about the possibility that a Norn would die while holding the umbrella and that the umbrella would be stuck in the graveyard.
I've also had the Creatures Playground cave Norn and alien leave their areas, get sick, be lead by the hand, and even get old and die.

In DS I had a rather strange borg norn, for some reason it took a liking to a Killer grendel, & kept saying that it loved the grendel, even as the grendel kept hitting it, & then the borg norn kept hitting the grendel back often enough that the grendel said it hated the borg norn. I still have that world saved right in the middle of their fight, one of the times when I opened that world again, the borg norn actually managed to beat the killer grendel to death. ![[nskull] [nskull]](/images/smilies/emot_skull.gif) |

In a wolfling run I tried to do last month in order to test some genetic edits, I had a pair of norns that would always just stand there. Staring at each other. They seemed to do well enough when I wasn't looking, since they didn't starve and were actually the only pair that bred before everyone died of old age, but it was a kind of creepy/funny habit.
(They recommended other norns "maybe approach Norn" when complaining of boredom, so I guess that's what they were doing.) |

Last week, I had a norn (an offspring of a tilynn and a aqua norn) and he just always seem to stare at me. He was always complaining he was hungry and things like that but he never walked, even while he COULD walk.
I mean, he wasn't one of those norns who can only stand in one position, he was able to move himself. When I asked him to "push norn" he actually made a female pregnant without even turning his head to look at her :p |

I wouldn't call this funny or silly, really -- more like interesting and smart, if anything -- but one of the norns in a interactive (non-feral, non-wolfling) game was clever enough to realize that whenever he ate the Calm Balm, he felt better. (As you can guess, he had Hardman in his ancestry.) He was so clever about this that all I eventually had to do was bring a bottle to him -- he would take it from my hand and eat it without the need for any prompting at all. |

About a year ago, I had a norn with some really strange mutation. A norn with grendel-arms. She was just a normal norn, she didn't have any grendel ancestors or something.
Has anyone had that too? |

TigerCivet: That sounds like a pretty common mutation, where one of the appearance genes changes and uses another breed's sprites. Some breeds have non-mutable appearance genes for this reason, since it can be downright unrealistic and scary!

Exactly, it seemed quite unrealistic too me. My little sister once had a norn with a grendel head. She totally freaked out and didn't want the norn in her game LOL |
