So next Project Teddy Run round is going to be aquatic... Trouble is, I don't know what I'm doing! Any advice on aquatic breeds, agents, and metarooms?

You might take a look at one post I made over at Discover Albia, along with some of the comments. Grendel Man helped me out with removing a few aquatic agents that aren't coded quite right, thereby making them a little confusing. I also recommend his newly released C2 Anemones for the Garden Box!

For a room, I would recommend either Past Seas + Pearl Ocean, Devil's Reef, or Aquanornia Revamped (or a combination of the above). I would avoid using places like Aquatilis Caverna or Aquatopia - they were meant for swimming creatures and thus have places where babies could get stuck. In addition, the critters, etc. in those rooms also lack push/pull scripts, and even eat scripts for some of them, making them a good source of instinct screw.
For agents, avoid the Biodome Anemones for reasons mentioned in Jessica's post and up above - they're classified as "critter," yet lack creature interaction scripts. I would avoid using the fish in that same pack as well, because they're quite buggy, but they are edible and whatnot so using them isn't a game changer (apart from the Tang, which has the same problem as the anemones).
Finally, breeds. I highly recommend Spykkie's Pearl Mermaids - they're not only pretty, but CFE to boot. There's also her Undine Norns, which aren't CFE, but are still fairly pretty. For breeds by other people, there's the Aquanorns, Deep Norns (but be warned - the default genome for these is not only immortal, but can't breathe underwater until old age), and Trident Norns.
Of course, there's also the boatload of aquatic genetic breeds I made, but the grand majority of them are grendels. I did make some aquatic norn breeds, but they're rather old.
Edit: If you so desire, I can make amphibious versions of the official breeds for people who enter the run.

Thanks you guys! I think I've got an idea of what to do now. I may just use all Pearl Mermaids... ![[evil] [evil]](/images/smilies/evil.gif)

If your going to use all Pearl Mermaids, I could make them all different colors for you. That way people could tell them apart on the stream. Tell me how many you need and what colors, and I can make them. I think I've even got a few from an unreleased Mermaid pack I've been to lazy to release.
Also I second Devil's Reef and Past Seas. I've had nothing but success with Devil's Reef, and Past Seas has some of the only aquatic fruit. Ainarda also has a fairly big aquatic area, but it isn't fully underwater.

A warning with the Devil's Reef: The viperfish might trigger a really bizarre error if they're eaten. I recommend killing them and replacing them with a different sort of aquatic critter if you use that metaroom.

How would you go about killing the viperfish?

That's so sweet of you! It would be simply lovely! I'll need... Six or eight, equal amounts male and female. Say... Light blue, peach/orange, pink, green, purple, yellow, or any colour that's easy for you to do.

On a different note, I'd be willing to let you (Darby) test out a Sea Garden plant if you find you can't find enough fitting food sources.
