| How do you customize your world? | |

I'm really interested in the way people customize/configure/run their Creatures worlds. I mainly have C3DS in mind, but I'd be interested to hear about the other games too.
So what do you guys do with all the C3 machinery? Do you have any special ways of accessorising the world? What are your favourite agents and where do you use them? Do you have a favourite place for hatching norns, or any sort of routine for raising them within the environment?
I owe you guys loads for all the amazing agents that have been designed. Most recently Papriko's extension cord, which has helped me wire up my machines more neatly so that there aren't just wires cutting across everywhere and looking messy. In terms of machines, I tend to wire up the lifts to go up and down at intervals so that the creatures get more dispersed. I wire up the volcano and the pirhana pit to also activate at intervals to keep their respective environments going on their own, and I use the hovering platform as a portable health station to monitor norns and transport them to the bridge when required.
Agents I use all the time are the door/button hiders, Clucky's advanced egg finder and the shelf (I'm not sure who made it). The latter is SO useful for keeping machinery away from norns and making everything tidy (As I'm sure you've guessed, I'm a bit of a neat freak). I like to grow potatos (from the super food vendor) in the norn terrarium and carrots at the top of the dessert. Also I like to turn the treehouse in the norn terrarium into a little cake shop ^_^
That's a brief overview of my preferences, what are yours? Sorry this is such a vague question. Also if anyone's a youtuber it would be really nice to see some videos with interesting world ideas and methods. Just putting that out there |

I often find myself replacing elevators with Elevines, which can apparently be made into room teleporters too (I'm going to try that sometime). I usually "clean up" the world by deleting all the C3 agents as well as the DS teleporters and the satellite things (which I really don't have a use for).

Step 1: Metarooms. Choice depends on the world theme I'm going for. The Norngarden is usually standard.
Step 2: Create CA links via Magic Words: Room Edits in all the meta rooms that need them, plus some links in the Capillata and elsewhere as needed.
Step 3: Agents. The Health Bar is a must for me as I absolutely need to know what my norns are thinking at all times. The Garden Box, Advanced Muco, Intelligence Core, Peaceful Death, DS Splicer, and Elevines are standard as well.
Step 4: Seasonal patch plants. Apples and pumperspickles in fall, strawberries and explodonuts in spring, carrots year around.
Step 5: Hatch norns in the Meso and let the fun begin.
My favorite norn is still Belldandy. |

If I run a docked world, which is rare, I usualy leave the gadgets where they are and just ignore the machines. With the various fixes people have made for the ecology over the years, I don't worry about the animals to much anymore either. I just sort of hatch a few Norns and watch where they go.
The rest of the time I'm running the same few world, occasionally deleting and making a new one when I get tired of one. I also try not to use the same metarooms over and over, though Veridia is usually in every world. I pretty much let them raise themselves, and they seem to do fine. I do have a world full of "pet" Norns though, mostly filled with Mermaid/Hardman Norns currently.
I have a routine, sort of. First thing I do is sort of mental plan out the metaroom, then I get rid of the trappers and snotrocks. Then I usually install advanced muco, garden box, and the magic words room edit thing. After that I install the metarooms(tweaking them if I have to), and then a some agents if the room needs them. Lastly I add a few decorations from the garden box, maybe build a village or just add some nice touches to a room. Recently I've been cutting back on the population limit, and trying to decorate my worlds a bit more(probably because I'm a bit burnt out of just raising Creatures).

Well, first things first, I always inject "DS Extra Remover" because I never really use the base DS room.
I love to create ecology, and will often spend up to two hours designing the ecology before actually injecting a single norn.
I enjoy using Bug's Temple. Sometimes I use Ainarda, since it has no ecology of its own, but it's a little harder because I have to use room altering agents to get an ecology to live properly.
Do not upset the ugly worm, lest it be a dragon in disguise. (>oo)>
