Creatures Caves

Last night, I fell asleep thinking about how to add hair to Norndolls and somehow had this dream...

It was sort of like Creatures 2, only different. It was in 3D, like real 3D. The sky was orangey, like at sunset, and the scenery was mountainous. It was nothing like Albia as we know it. There didn't seem to be much plant life, mainly dirt and rocky mountains, with small white tents here and there that housed Ettins. It wasn't dull though, it was all warm toned browns reminiscent of Horse Norn fur, only a bit lighter.

There were a bunch of Ettins, one in front of each tent. They appeared to be merchants, wearing these cute little merchant hats, selling their wares. There only seemed to be two Grendels, who lived at the base of a mountain. One was your typical Boney Grendel, but the other was something I'd never even seen before.

It was a most beautiful shade of aqua blue, but it was far from beautiful. It had a spiked tail, it's lower jaw appeared like that of a dinosaur skull, and instead of arms, it had sort of... Fins... Not ordinary fins though. They appeared to be made of bone also, but not like you'd expect. Almost like solid rock in the shape of fins, but hollow, with oval-ish holes in varying sizes all over. Oh, and it could also fly with these fins.
How the image of this creature haunts me... Even now, I shall never forget such a monstrous creature.

What I did notice was a lack of Norns. It seemed as though the area was completely devoid of Norns... How woefully wrong I was...
I saw one small brown, floppy eared baby Norn in the middle of the area with the tents. He was sitting there, fascinated by the sand/dirt in front of him. He looked like a combination of these Norns.

Anyway, the blue Grendel beast flew down and landed in front of one of the Ettin merchants. It apparently purchased two potions... It activated the first potion, and the baby Norn made the pain sound and was apparently stunned. What happened next will haunt me forever. It activated the second potion and these black floaty things floated around the Norn for a moment, before it groaned and fell to the ground, dead...

As it turned out, the two Grendels killed any Norn they happened to come across, trying to kill each and every one that still lived. The Norns all lived high up in the mountains, in caves, living in fear. If one of them ventured out for food, the poor thing was ripped to pieces...

How the heck does my mind dream up such things?! Good grief...
