Well, hello! I doubt any of you recognise me, considering I was about 11 or 12 the last time I really posted here (darn, time flies!) but after forgetting about this game for what seems like forever, I'm finally back! Maybe not permanently, considering I have a lot more pressure to work hard at school than I did when I was 11, but I'm here for now at least. So, hi! Since I've been gone for so long, I couldn't help but wonder... what's been going on in the community since I left? The last I remember was an announcement that some developers were taking up the task of reinventing this game and making Creatures 4. Did I miss much? It doesn't seem like the game is out yet. ~Ratty <3 |

The community is still booming, IMO. Maybe not as much as it was ten years ago, but there's still a steady flow of new agents, discoveries, and ways to play for all three of the games. And new people are appearing (or re-appearing, in your case!) all the time. As for Creatures 4, the fandom is pretty divided on it, as far as I can see. Some are very excited for it, and some think it's not going to be the same. It doesn't look like my kind of thing, personally, but I wouldn't ever tell people they couldn't like it. Don't care; I'm a bear. |

Not much, and I am also eleven xD There are lots of new stuffs of course, check out Chione, the Domisphere and Scribble Room if you want some fancy new rooms- a room for cold-loving norns, a new room for basic norn care, and a room made up of doodles!! For COBS and agents, check out the Jelly Donut for C1 and ylukyun's Christmas Crackers for DS. A nice foodstuff and a cracker that your creatures can open if they pull it when you pick it up. I dunno why I mentioned some stuff that has nothing to do with this topic, but check out the rooms and COB and agent I mentioned, they are awesome! |

Welcome back, ratkinzluver33! I remember you.  I hope you enjoy the new look Creatures Caves and settle back into the community again. If you have any questions about how to navigate the new site, just ask! Right now we have the Creatures Community Advent Calendar 2012 going on with daily treats up until Christmas, we have our upcoming Survivor: Arctic game which starts on December 30th (two contestant slots are still remaining! Do you fancy a go?) and we've just had an amazing CCSF 2012, which Jessica co-ordinated. As far as Creatures 4 goes, you probably want to check out the official Creatures 4 website and the Fishing Cactus Development Blog to catch up on all the details and the latest news. |

Thank you guys for all the lovely replies! It's nice to be back (and remembered!) Since I've been having loads of trouble getting the Creatures games to work on my new computer (ugh  ) I'm probably going to be stuck waiting for Creatures 4 before I can end up playing the series all the time again. It seems like it has mixed opinions in the community, but I'll give it a go. Otherwise, I'm going to have to be stuck on my five year-old computer to be able to play any of the older games again...~Ratty <3 |

Aw, what's your new computer? Have you thought about getting the games off GOG.com? They're compatible with the newer operating systems and they're currently on sale (well, Christmas is fast approaching...)!  |

I don't think it's the computer itself, but more the fact that I have to transfer over all of my files using a USB drive, and that probably messes up a bunch of things in the installation settings. The new computer doesn't have a disc drive so there's no way to install my old Creatures Exodus CD (which is the only game I really play often...) from scratch. ~Ratty <3 |

Well, if you ever do consider it, all games from GOG.com handle everything electronically. Once you purchase a game you just download the setup .exe file and install it easy as pie. No CD required. Sorry that I can't help you further; I hope you find a way to play Exodus soon! |

I'm not quite sure what you mean? After you buy games from GOG.com, you are given the setup file to download which is an .exe file. For instance, on my computer I have 'setup_creatures_albian_years.exe' and 'setup_creatures_exodus.exe'. Don't worry, a reputable company like GOG.com aren't about to spam our computers with viruses; they wouldn't make any money! |

It's all done electronically. You could still get it for Christmas; it just means that game will be downloaded and installed straight onto your computer instead. No need for a CD! There's also an option on GOG.com to 'gift' games so they're sent to your e-mail address. Maybe that's what your stepmother and dad will do? |

Even if you aren't getting Creatures The Albian Years for Christmas, your Mom probably has some other great presents in mind for you. You're lucky! Back to the main topic though; I second the Creatures Tumblr, ratkinzluver! I really must submit some stuff there at some point, something festive. Similarly there's also the Creatures 4 Instagram page which is fun to follow! It's good for getting sneak peaks of how Creatures 4 is coming along and what's happening at Fishing Cactus HQ. |

I'm actually really excited for Creatures 4. Even though it might not have the same magic the previous games have (and still do,) it will be a nice change to see norns in full out 3D! Plus, I've got to give them some credit for deciding to restart and old project like Creatures. ~Ratty <3 |
