Ever teached your creature a word you shouldnt?I did xD I had this one norn called cynita when i didnt have c3, and i kept saying "cynita kill norn" when she was kissing another norn, and then after awhile she said "Cynita kill norn" whenever she went to push a norn. It's easier to teach your norns non-standard words in C1 than it is in DS, I've noticed that.  Most of my 'strange words' were things like 'lemon' or 'carrot' for all food types. My TCR Norns |

I taught one of my Norns in Creatures 1 some pretty nasty swearwords, and I found it hysterical whenever she used them. What's worse though, is that other Norns picked them up off her! |

I faintly remember, when i first played Creatures 2 back in my elementary school days, i kept telling my newborn norn to "eat tomato". This was before i caught on that Creatures games use the same words for different fruits and objects. So yeah, my norn kept calling every fruit it encountered (even the Albian pear and Triffid) a tomato. |

I once named a norn "No" in C1 to see what would happen; fortunately it had no effect on her, as her name seemed to trump the command. But I renamed her sharpish when she started using it in case it affected the other norns. |

Does consistently teaching C1/C2 norns to call the hand "god" count? ![[nblank]](/images/smilies/emot_blank.gif "[nblank]") Nutter wrote: C1 differentiates between lower and upper case, so unless you named her "no" with a lower case n, they would be two different words to her (and everyone else) anyway. |

I wish I could play c2 so that I could teach them that fruit=womb, seed=embryo, and food=nutrient-paste. (I'm terrible.) I can't remember if c2 had different words for push and eat, but if so push=touch, and eat=consume. [chirping and clicking]  Clicks for a winter god! >  |

Simply enough, when I get my norns to push food they'll eventually adopt a surname for themselves. (C1) Like "Aaron Food" he would just say aloud for no apparent reason. |

Yeah C1 norns tend to want to mention objects that they know fulfill drives rather than drives themselves, even if they know the words. They also tend to leave verbs out of their sentences a lot, and often just mention the object they want to interact with or are just thinking about. They will just randomly say 'food' whenever they are thinking about food... 'Aaron food' sounds like he's announcing his intention to eat and/or asking for more. I just started playing c2, and now I accidentally have a norn who thinks toys are called 'drink' and that the hand is called 'toy'... now she's wandering around complaining about being bored and nothing i say to her will get her to play with toys. Oh boy. When I first got into Creatures 2 many years ago with my childish mind... I don't think I need to mention that my screen was filled with various insults and words best not mentioned in polite conversation once I found out you can actually teach them to call things whatever you want. Then there was, of course, the typical "eat tomato", "eat carrot", "eat nut" and several variations of that. Took me a bit to realize that mousing over items actually does something. |
