Valve recently released a new program on Steam that allows users to give suggestions for games to be put on Steam and ,if they get enough support, they will be. Has anyone considered doing this for Creatures The Albian Years and Creatures Exodus?

I think this topic was brought up a few years ago. I'm not sure if it's exactly the same idea though.

Why? They're on GOG, isn't that enough? Although, come to think of it, Steam is more well known...

This is true. Are there any particular benefits to having the games on Steam (that we don't get with GOG)? The GOG versions offer a few advantages... compatibility is one, their low price is another. Plus, from what I understand, playing the games on Steam would probably require an internet connection. That seems like it would be something of a drawback for the earlier games.

Playing games on Steam DOES require an internet connection. There is an "offline" option, but funny enough, you still have to have a connection for it to work. Steam is an necessary evil to me, and I'd much rather purchase games through GoG. The digital rights management on Steam is completely out of control, and even games I've purchased from a store--that come with a CD--make me install them through Steam (example: Tropico 4) and forever-more play them through its manager. I hate it!! Just sayin'.

I'm not too fond of Steam either. I bought a CD containing Team Fortress 2 but am unable to play because Steam won't let me because I need to download an update. Fair enough, but the update is ridiculously large in size and exceeds my data usage allowance. I've also had problems where it tends to get "stuck" when updating itself. |

It is nice that all updates for your Steam games are provided at one location. Still, it stinks that you can't play your games without installing them.

You can play your games offline, but you have to have an internet connection to activate it. After that, it will stay offline until you turn the online feature back on. Anyways, I think Steam would be great because it would be a good way to make the game more well known. There are a lot of people that use Steam.
