Hello people who still play Creatures! I need your help. I no longer have the games installed and therefore do not use the COBs, Adoptions, or Metarooms download pages anymore. Even if you've already posted suggestions in another thread, please post them again here. I'm going to be reworking on the downloads pages this week and I need your input to make them perfect! Please let me know any changes that you think need to be made to these sections. I know previous people have mentioned wanting an editable Breeds page, so I'm planning on adding that. But PLEASE let me know what you want on the breeds page, i.e. what sections, how to sort it, etc. I have literally no idea how to create this page. Thank you!!  - Rascii |

I know it's not huge help but I do think the COBS/Agents should stay the same, it's nearly perfect. Only possible change IMO there is slightly more recognizeable icons for food/toys/etc. The "live" one isn't as obvious, for example, if I want plants not pets I'd wonder and take a while to figure out the dog also means plants too. -Karias; a bit fruity and gone bananas in the wrong climate! |

There could be an 'Author' field for the COBs? Or the ability to 'like' a cob or adoption? Would a preview function be helpful here too? A way of noting the special characteristics of a breed, and being able to group together breeds that are similar would be nice. Say, if I wanted to try to breed a little serial killer, I'd want to start off with a good mix of serial killer norns. My TCR Norns |

Again, I'd like to suggest a "Breeds" section since there's really no good place for them at the moment (neither the Adoptions section nor the Misc. Cobs section really fits fully-fledged breeds). Risen Angel's Creatures Blog |

For agents: A version number (and a way to remove old agents replacing them with the new version, but this is not mandatory, you can keep both.) Different categories for C3 and DS or a C3 only/DS only flag. For creatures: All lifestages (baby, child, adolescent, youth, adult, elderly, ancient.) A geat category. |

Different categories for C3 and DS or a C3 only/DS only flag. Most certainly. I agree that an 'author' field would be helpful too, since the person to submit an agent isn't always its author. Currently it only lists the uploader. As far as breeds... I think we had another topic regarding an actual breed list? Does CCaves really need a breed list and a separate breed download page? Seems like it would make sense to just combine the two. (Although for an actual breed list, I'd prefer being able to list genetic breeds separately from breeds with sprites. That's one of my main beefs with the CWiki is that its categories don't distinguish the two. Breed slots are far, far more important to breeds that actually have their own sprites, and being able to look up a breed based on its slot is really useful.)  |

^ Also to sort and search by tags would be cool. Lots of websites have been doing it lately, categorizing by tags. Searching in general would be nice, by keyword in the title, description, and author sections.  |

On the metarooms page, it would be nice to have a mention of whether or not the link will download instantly, take you to another page, or if you have to pay for it. Don't forget. Always, somewhere, someone is fighting for you. As long as you remember her, you are not alone. |

Tags would be good in all the sections - metarooms, creatures, breeds, cobs, possibly news and links but this may be overkill. |

I don't know if this has been suggested already, but a counter to show how many times something has been downloaded might be cool? Could be fun to see what gets downloaded. |

Maybe making sort by sex optional for the adoption section? Having separate categories for flora and fauna would be nice too. |

This is kind of a stretch, but you know how people often make forum topics for their new agents so they can get feedback? Any chance we can have a dedicated system of commenting on agents? |

You'd want to make sure that that was only really for new agents, though, not ones that have just been uploaded because there was permission granted - and sometimes a pre-release development thread can morph into a post-release feedback thread. (I love it when that happens! ) I suppose that could be done, though, with a 'make a topic in the forum' checkthing when uploading?My TCR Norns |

I need help! There are a few questions I have regarding the adoption section revamp: 1. As of now, the only life stages available for posting creatures are: baby, child, adult, senile. As requested, I'm going to include all seven life stages (baby, child, adolescent, youth, adult, old, ancient). Therefore, should creatures currently marked as "senile" be changed to "old" or "ancient" under the new system? Technically "senile" in the older games is equivalent to "ancient" in C3/DS. 2. As of now, adoptions must be marked as C1, C2, C3, or DS. Do you think I should merge C3/DS together, or add a new separate C3/DS category, or leave the system as is? I'm going to add dates to adoptions, a geat species category, remove gender filtering and also include commenting. - Rascii |

1. Why not just include both categories - Senile and Ancient - then users can choose accordingly (whether they're playing C1/C2 or C3/DS)? If someone accidentally selects the wrong life stage for their game, it can always be corrected via approval. I'm also suggesting this because, once you have both listed, it'll be accurate if you change any existing creatures under the new system. It would be nice to be able to search for creatures by age too. |
