After getting my "kill half of stuff" population control script finished today, I started playing with trappers. I've never paid much attention to them, because I never let the stingers loose in the Meso, but dang if they aren't useful little gizmos! I've made some modifications so they'll eat bugs and critters, both good and bad, and they're now keeping strays cleaned out of the tunnels in the norn terrarium and desert basement, and doing a pretty darned good job of controlling populations, too.
Are there any sort of rules regarding distribution of modifications of the original game agents? Seems like I've seen it done before, but I wanted to check for sure before offering to share my gen 2 trappers with others, once I get them polished enough.

Sounds great - I don't think there are any real conventions about the distribution of modified coses from DS. For C3 the convention is not to include the image so that the downloader has to have C3 for the cos to work, but DS is freely downloadable, so everyone should already have the trapper image.

Cool! Still testing, but I'm growing really fond of the little buggers.

I like trappers too. :-)
By the way, I don't care if anyone steals my ideas for their own work, as long as you don't try to stop me from making my own stuff. Many ideas I mention are things I don't have the time or skill to actually do. |
