Seeing as Creatures 4 comes out around September, how is everyone going to design their Norns? I myself am going to make a male Norn with black fur and orange stripes and call him Shadow, as a reference to Shadow the Hedgehog from the sonic series. I may even make him a mate and call her Sonic, now prizes for what colour she will be.  Also, does anyone actually like that second Norn breed shown in the preview video on Youtube? I think it either looks like a fat, tailless cat or a demented Teletubby XD. |

Lol, eww, Sonic and Shadow as mates? XP I might have to make a black Norn with red stripes and call him Shadow, now that you've given me the idea. I'd kinda like to make a blue one with white spots too, just because I think it would look nice. |

I will make a norn that looks like the C1 Bannana norns and name her Lizz as my first norn, and play around with the norn maker to make my second norn, whom I will call Arther. |

I wonder if Fishing Cactus will enable the game to allow Norns of the same gender to kiss seeing as its quite a controversial subject in many parts of the world? |

I wonder how long their life span will be? If it's too long then people will get bored with the game, but if its not long enough you can't really form an attachment to them. I'd also like to see pregnancies last for a good while (like a mammal), or the eggs taking a long time to hatch without the incubator (like a bird). That reminds me, how much do you guys think they'll be like mammals, mammal-like reptiles, or birds? |

They look very mammalian, but apparently they still hatch from eggs. I'm not sure it will be very different from the Norns we know now, given that the current system is based on convenience rather than adherence to any particular group of real-life animals. In some ways Norns are more like turtles than birds when it comes to reproduction.  But I expect that what was convenient in C3/DS will probably still be convenient in C4, at least for the most part. |

I can see myself designing Norns for hours! Whenever it comes to something that involves customization, like Spore or even Oblivion/Skyrim, I sit there forever crafting something I love. I don't think Creatures 4 will be quite like that, but I did see lots of possibilities in the few screenshots/video clips we've seen! Seems like it could be very fun to play around with. I'm excited about having Norns that don't have sprites that are set in stone, and can really only be changed with pigment mutations. These ideas are making me think, too! I wonder what the sharing capabilities will be like? I really hope we have other options besides any social site tie-ins... I don't use Facebook for anything other than Discover Albia updates. Either that, or the old standby: Screenshots! Ha ha! |

I really love blue norns so there will be alot of them in my world! I have a question for you all! Do you all love the new norns more or less? I like the new norns realistic look and their fur (really cute) but they're a little bit to monkey-like.. Also I have another question; Does someone know if there will be much different breeds? :s Because I love the fact you can colour them and all like they have shown in the interview but I really would like a variety of breeds in it. Btw, I'm also a huge creatures fan! And I loved creatures III the most of all games but I think the creatures II norns were the cutest.  Sorry for my bad english, I'm from Belgium. :p Greets Evy |

There's an interview on youtube that says there will be five norn races to start, which would be more than the typical three breeds that all the other games started with. However, iirc, we've only seen two of the breeds. The only real complaint I have about the C4 norns so far is that they seem to be void of tail. If the creatures truly have no tails, I'd at least like to see some breeds with tails built into the body model the way C1 tails were done. A C1 white haired pixie tail would be adorable on the norns we've seen so far. |

I'm going to make a dark stripy one like the one briefly shown as an option during the interview. I was really disappointed he didn't pick that one. Well, actually, in reality, I'll probably make random appearances, then pick the one that jumps out at me as the right one. By the way, I don't care if anyone steals my ideas for their own work, as long as you don't try to stop me from making my own stuff. Many ideas I mention are things I don't have the time or skill to actually do. |

Actually, I'm not that fond of the creature creator idea. Breeding and not always getting the result you desired at first try is a huge part of what the Creatures games have been about, imo... |

I think the C4 Norns look a lot more cuter than the Creatures 3 Norns in some ways, not to mention how cuddly they look! I hope when the game is released there's an option to turn real-time/animated fur on. |

So many choices! I'm really excited about the ability to breed norns and simply not get a baby with chop and change limb colours I think my first norn will closely resemble the Bengal norn. I may also create one that's a sort of dusty beige with brown eyes. I'll probably go a bit crazy making norns when I get the game! DUNDUNDUUUUUN! |

A yellow norn with either pink, blue or purple patterns. It's not 100% clear to me whether this will be possible, I remember they said something about a blue norn being hard to breed? Although the "create-a-norn" is something you unlock right? |

I want a rainbow norn too C-Rex. But I'll settle for red, orange and brown. Marbled or with spots. Honestly I don't really care what the norns look like. I'm just excited about the game coming out!!! |

I'll probably do the nostalgic fan thing and try to recreate the hebe breed or something. You have to be honest with yourself when you are writing. I have no idea what I'll end up with! I'm interested to see what customization is available for our first Norn, or if we'll have to earn customization options later on. I have a feeling I'll stick to more natural colors to start with (if possible) although I think I'll end up with a smorgasbord of colorful Norns at some point! Some of the ideas posted here have got me thinking already! |

I've always loved Zebra norns, or norns flecked with interesting markings. However, knowing myself, I will fall in love with the first kind of norn I see and put him / her on their own pedestal until it passes away. I can recall this very thing happening with me before in each Creatures game: That first creature is just perfect in every way. Wow I sound so sappy. ^_^ |

I'm sure there's all sorts of interesting designs I could come up with - I love messing around on character creators! Like Jessica, I think I would start aiming for natural-looking norns, perhaps filtering in some bolder colours at a later point. XD So a couple guesses as to what SpringRain's creatures are going to look like. Ahaha. A black one with green, orange or yellow eyes might be nice too. Hmm, or a mackerel or tabby pattern... Sorry to bump a bit of an old thread but with more recent releases on things like the Cave Norns and aquatic (water-breathing) norns, has anyone else been considering more ideas on what sorts of norns they would like to make? Personally, I want to breed Cave Norns and aquatic norns together to make Bear Norns!
