Don't forget the Creatures Wiki as well... Mummy has one of the best breed lists around, but doesn't update it anymore and I can think of at least one breed that isn't on it.

Remember to check if the genomes of different breeds are compatible before you crossbreed them! |

Are you looking for Ettin and Grendel breeds or just Norn ones?
Some attractive 3rd Party Norn breeds IMO are Gargoyle, Dream, Flora, Yellowstone, Alien, Beowulf and the converted C1toDS breeds. You can find links to download all of them at SeeYou7.net. |

right now, my favourites for C3DS: sabertooth norns! they're actually quite endearing and inquisitive [well, mine are], and despite being carnivorous, they enjoy snacks of all kinds [again, at least mine do] so they get proper nutrition and whatnot. they seem to prefer insects, seeds, and...booze [i'd keep that away from 'em if you have an agent like that; they get too drunk!].
deep norns are my newest addition; they're such ridiculously happy/friendly little things in my world that i find myself laughing at the computer when i watch them ^_^ mine are ENAMOURED with the basket/vendor of muffins that comes with the metaroom designed for them [or as a standalone agent].
both these guys can be found at the developer's page: http://www.family-gathering.org/bbw/
akatora norns are great, and very sweet, but it is difficult to keep a warm enough environment for them to stay comfortable/not shivering excessively, even with additions like the space heater or steam rock agent. i also have never managed to get any unusual pigments with them. of all the norn breeds i've had in C3DS, i think these are the most "loner-type" and "wandering" creature...so they aren't baby machines that reproduce in elevators for their entire adult lives like...well, most of my other norns xD
vampyre grendels are my favourite non-norn breed for C3DS. somewhere on my hard drive, i have quite an enormous colony of them [lost that world due to a runtime error crash--not their fault--but if i recall, many were saved].
i'm also raising golden desert norns in DS at last, though i don't remember where the heck i found them...probably one of the recent CCSFs ^_^;;
well, that's my two cents. i'm off to keep hunting for new deep norns to add to my growing pack. cheers
---
addendum: i'd recommend keeping Deep Norns on the surface, seriously...thinking 'oh boy, now that my original pair are adults, they're fully amphibious and can play in the lower levels of Devil's Reef instead of making incest babies!', i transported them below...and within a minute or two, they both perished [...with their eyes wide open]. i'm a mur-diddly-urderer D:
one of my Deeps has ventured to Viridia [she actually played with a teleporter! huzzah!], and i'm just gonna let her [and the others] stay on the surface. |

Is there anywhere else to download the Apple Norns? As with C2toDS, the link listed on the Creatures Wiki returns an error page. I have the breed, but I'm sure there are others out there looking for the download!

Yeah, it gives me a Forbidden error...
fcrescent: Deep Norns don't gain the ability to breathe water as adults, you have to wait until they are fully-finned Elders. That's when their gills develop.
