I recently had a pretty good idea for a community event of sorts that could occur if the DS server ever comes back online. Basically, the event, dubbed by me as 'The Norn Nebula', involves me creating a special DS account and asking people to friend me. After they have friended me, I will then send Norns to random people periodically to enhance their gene pools and they can then chat about their Norns in a special forum. Does this sound like a good idea? I figured it would be a great way for people to diversify their gene pools and converse about the Norns they have received. |

I like the idea very much! The only problem is how unreliable the DS server is. Is it still offline? If only it would remain online most of the time! I'm pretty much up for anything to help the community... I know I've been absent for a bit, yet I never can stay away from Creatures for too long. Genetics, biochemistry, and everything else, here I come! I would definitely participate in this community event, if it comes to fruition. Would there be a way to do it in some offline way, perhaps by sending creatures through e-mail? I know it's not ideal, but I would hate to see it fizzle out just because the DS server is offline. Personally I gave up on the DS server over a year ago. Since then, every one of my worlds has used the login disabling thingy. So in other words, I wouldn't show up but I still think this sounds like a good idea. Probably a good idea to do it by posting the creatures on TCR however. |

It could work by e-mail but then I'd have to keep sending Norns to people and it wouldn't be efficient. Also, does anyone know if there will be a warp-like feature in Creatures 4? If there is, I could do it using that game rather than DS (unless the servers come back online). |

I've been playing DS for the last 4 or 5 days and the server's been up, but I know registrations are still down. Usually only 1 or 2 other people seem to be online. Ahh I remember the days when there would be as many as 9 or 10 people online  |

I guess I could attempt the Norn Nebula now, but it would require much more people to be online. |

I'll try to get online sometime soon. I've been so used to using the offline option! Also, do you have the Strawberry Norns, C-Rex? Seems like the original download link no longer works. I posted on your blog, but I wanted to make sure you knew I was looking. Glad to see you're back to writing on your blog, too! |
