Given how much attention has been given to Creatures 4 here, I thought I should plug Steve Grand's project here. Link: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1508284443/grandroids-real-artificial-life-on-your-pc I'm a backer for it (you need to email him to donate now that the kickstarter goal has been reached) and though I don't want to give away too much, let me say that it's *much* more advanced than the Creatures series. For one thing, it sounds like the Grandroids' appearance will be about as potentially variable as Spore (which, in case you haven't played Spore, is a *lot*), but with a whole lot more going on under the surface. They'll definitely be a lot smarter and more complex than norns. So, just a little plug.  By the way, I don't care if anyone steals my ideas for their own work, as long as you don't try to stop me from making my own stuff. Many ideas I mention are things I don't have the time or skill to actually do. |

I actually have been highgly anticipating Grandroids since he put the project on Kickstarter. I checked earlier today, and I'm glad the goal has been succeeded by the amount it has! (Luckily that means we don't have to see Lucy anymore... *shutter*) |
