Hello everyone!
I am all brand new here. I'm from Amsterdam, the Netherlands and I'm a major C2 fan. I've long hesitated to register on a creatures forum, because well..my favorite creatures game is becoming more vintage over the years. I wasn't sure to find a forum that is still into the subject..but well, here I am.
I still bet, that fellow C2 fans will become an extincive breed itself since they are so hard to find! So ofcourse my main question is: Are there creatures2 players here??
My history of playing Creatures goes way back to 1998, of wich C2 was the first I got to play. It was a demo version, containing just two breeds and a empty agent injector. I also couldn't breed with the Ettins and Grendels, but never really felt a thing for those creatures. Norns are the one to be my favorite artificial animals EVER!
I've also played C1, C3 and Docking Station and the last two combined. I've been online and shared my Norns. But somehow, I've always loved C2 most.
I like C2 for the adventurous vast area, the seasonal cycle and it's great variety of fruit. And you have to put more effort in handling and breeding the Norns. I also have the kits at hand to check their reproductive and vital signs, without putting them in a pod.
Like I mentioned, I LOVE Norns. I've specialised myself in multibreeding them, and mixing up the different types. I feed them well, and keep them safe from genetic flaws and sickness. The thing I loved about DS was to send them to new owners. I would love to do the same with my C2 Norns..is it possible to send exports to ohers users? Because if so, I would love to share some of my great examples with other C2 fans! Let me know if you're interested! I will also try to breed Norns on request.
Well, enough of this introduction. I will await any reply and enthousiastic members! Greetings. ..And spread the Norn love!<3 |

Welcome to the forum! It's always great to find a new member of the Creatures community! My favorite game in the series is Creatures 1, which was the first game I ever played. C2 is also awesome, but the version I have is a bit laggy and glitchy. Have you heard about Creatures 2 to Docking Station? It's also known as C2toDS. It basically allows you to play C3/DS with a Creatures 2 environment. It's still in development, but there is a version available to try out! This might help you out in sharing Norns in a semi-C2 environment. Otherwise, I believe there is the import/export feature. The Creatures Repository might also be of interest to you!
I'm crazy about Creatures myself, and I'm thrilled to see another enthusiastic member! One other thing you might want to check out is information about Creatures 4, which is finally in development after so long! Enjoy the forum, and once again, welcome!

Hi Jessica! At my turn I am thrilled to receive a reply so fast!
Too bad to read you have such a glitchy version of C2. Actually, my first version, the demo version, tended to be glitchy as well..but I guess my precious Windows versions could've caused it. My official (Albian Years) C2 runs so much better on my current XP. I hope you will find the Albian Years cd-rom in a nearby store sometime!
I did forgot to mention that I also love the C2 Norns better than the C3 ones. I love the breeds though..but C2 Norns are cuter. XD
I have tried to connect my C3/DS though, but the server on wich it runs doesn't seem to work no more.:O
I will check out the Creatures Repository, and I've also already found the Adoption. I might put up some of my Norns today, if I find out how it all works!
I'm thrilled to hear about Creatures 4 being in development!! It's great to know that Creatures is not forgotten. I will absolutely keep an eye on anything new!!
Well, thank you. I will sure anjoy myself here! I enjoy it already, hihi. |

I have The Albian Years from GOG.com, but it's not quite working as well as I had hoped. I do plan on playing C2, though, since it was always one of my favorites! I just have so many fond memories of C1, which is why it's my favorite.
You can get the DS login disabler at Creatures Docking Station. It should be located towards the bottom of the page: This allows you to play C3/DS without being forced to login! Word has it that the server will be back up and running sometime this month, though.
Good luck!

*is developing for C3-DS too - but hey we where talking about C2 now ^^ *
Yeah I find C2 to be amazing - sadly it may have some glitches like the feared after 3-4 days and it will constant crash or something like that - also it is more prone to crashes : (
still haven't stopped me from playing it of course ;P
There is a C2 to DS coming to DS thats developed by Liam and Moe - wich is awesome - but it's not done yet - but theres a beta out, just like Jessica said :3 |

Hello C2marrie, welcome to Creatures Caves! If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask. I'm a C2 fan too; it's my favourite out of them all.
I also totally second Jessica's suggestion about giving C2toDS a whirl when you have some time. It's so immersing that you forget you're actually playing DS! You can even get some C3/DS converted C2 breeds and objects to go with it (or with any metaroom really, if you're feeling nostalgic!) at the bottom of this page. |

Welcome to the forums C2marrie! Have you tried the Canny Norns yet? They're specially designed to be better eaters and to sleep more often. |

Thanks all!
I will try the C2/DS sometime, when it's official and working properly.
Ps: Laura, I thought I'd let you know that I've adopted your Benkey! ^^ |

I started up Creatures 2 the other day, and I'm happy to say that it's working well! It used to be really laggy: I do have to play it in a somewhat small window, but I have a gigantic screen... The window is probably standard, but just looks small in perspective. Ha ha! I love the music and all of the hidden little elements... So excited to finally be able to enjoy C2 again!

It's awesome that you've started playing C2 again! I never thought I'd trigger some people here to play it again. XD Well, I have submitted some nice adoptions, so check it out! Who knows there might be a good starter for you out there!
Vatrena, come and play C2 again also!
It is sooooo great I'm not alone with this game. XD |

I just bought C2 from GOG! It's been my first time playing it, as my first PC Creatures game was C3/DS. It's a lot more challenging, and I love all the interesting environments. The music is very nice, too!

That's great, Panda!
Put one of your Norns up for adoption sometime, and I'll try them in my world.
Right now, I got C3/DS to run offline finally as well! I might be playing this game more often too now. So if there's anyone with a C3/DS norn request I'll breed you a nice one! |
