General Forum Hi?    Soliloquy   5/19/2011 I'm not sure if this is the right place for this (if it's not, mods, please move/delete it!). I'm new here. I've been playing C3 and Docking Station and lurking for years, dabbling in CAOS, Bryce and the GIMP for fun (although I'm no good at any!) following the CC's many wonderful tutorials! Anyway, I saw the announcement for the upcoming Creatures game and decided that it was perhaps finally time to stop lurking and start being a participating member of the community. What version of Bryce are you using? I started my 3D career playing in Bryce3D. I now use Maya and created 3D animations for my job, so you've got a good started there   Soliloquy   5/21/2011 I'm using Bryce 7.... I've tried Blender, but it's interface is too hard for me to figure out; Any good, free suggestions other than that? I cannot find the fabled Maya Personal Learning Edition; the only free version of Maya I can find requires you to be enrolled in a 3D modelling class.   Malkin Manager     5/21/2011 Hi Embri recommended for Blender, the Blender Underground video tutorials and Blender 3D: Noob to Pro, if you'd like to continue your Blender quest. My TCR Norns   Prodigal Sock Ghosthande     5/21/2011 Hi Soliloquy, sounds like you had the opposite experience I had. I tried Bryce but couldn't figure it out, so I ended up using Blender. The Noob to Pro tutorials are definitely the way to go, they're what I started with. There's also the BlenderArtists.org forum, which can be a great source of help if there's something specific you don't understand or are having trouble with.   Soliloquy   5/22/2011 Cool, thanks!
