C2 to DS is all well and good, but the only computer where I can run Creatures 1, 2, or 3 has no internet connection so I can't run DS, and it seems to only run on a DS world! I know zilch about programming and stuff, so I can't exactly make it work for C3 standalone. Do you think a C2toC3 would be a good idea?

Download C1toDS, as it gives you the option of playing DS without connecting to the internet.
C2toC3 won't happen, because some of the code needed to port things is DS specific, I'm afraid.

As Liam said, you don't need an internet connection to play DS. There are several web-disabling agents, but as Liam said, C1toDS comes with a very nice built-in web-disabler. (And who doesn't want C1toDS anyway?)
You can use it to disable the login portion of DS, so you can play offline.
Also, as Liam said, there will be no C2toC3, at least not from I or Liam, the current developers of C2toDS. The C3 engine is older than the DS engine, and it's functionality is lacking in key areas that are used in C2toDS. |
