I took a long shot and emailed Gameware about the no longer available breed packs for the C3/DS and asked them if they were willing to release them to GOG.com so that they might be purchasable again.
I received a response from their CEO saying that they would be glad to, as long as GoG decided there was a demand for them.
I would like to suggest a contact campaign on GOG to see if we cant get them to host these lost gems in their store!
All you need to do is go to this link and choose "I have a suggestion to give" from the drop-down menu, put Creatures 3 Breed Packs as the subject, then type a short note about how you would love to be able to buy them again.
I think this is a fantastic idea, and I hope everyone who would buy the breed packs will email GOG!

Brilliant idea, just what the community could do with. I'll send my suggestion now. |

Great idea! However I thought GoG is only made for games and this is certainly GW's work.
They use their own system for games, do they also make a system for add-ons?
Sure, I like it if they will host it. But there is a little chance they can do it - or they must make changes to their Website/Catalog/Purchase/Install system.

If we were to all coordinate to use/spam their contact form then they might loose patience very quickly with us due to the volume of messages.
Perhaps posting a petition thread in their forum and then drawing their attention to it via the contact form once we have enough signatures to look impressive would be more successful. That way they would see considerable interest rather than us messaging them in isolation.
Edit: Petition thread

I'm sorry, but I see no reason why to sell Norn breeds on GoG. Why to sell Hardmans, Treehugers and Toxic Norns? Other Norns breeds from Creatures Labs were available on Creatures Mall, but today they are free. What if someone doesn't have PayPal account or credit card?
I'm not trying to say that these Norns weren't result of hard work, but why to sell them?
I'm a hardcore christian first, and a creature breeder second.

Because they aren't free. Only certain breeds like the Astros, Harlequins and Fallows are available free. The breed packs like the Hardmans, Bondis, Treehuggers and Toxics are currently only available "free" from people who are sharing them illegally.
Besides, does the possibility that a few people might not have a credit card make it a "bad idea" to create a legal resource for anyone to get these breeds? I mean, it wouldn't make obtaining them via filesharing any less illegal than it is now. But it would offer a welcome solution for people who are opposed to sharing copyrighted files.

I respectfully disagree. I do understand the possibility of GOG.com seeing our suggestions as spam if there's a high volume of them, but at the same time I feel that a suggestion box is there to be used, and I don't forsee any harm being done if a few of us submit a suggestion about hosting the breeds. There aren't too many of us in the community and I don't see us as being a spamming bunch, I see us as being more polite and well spoken as a group.
As a side note, GOG.com have a Games You'd Love to see on GOG wishlist. If GOG.com listed the breed packs on that page, we could all vote on there. |

I like this idea! I've been looking to purchase the other breeds I no longer have, and I'd love to give GoG some more business since I've already got working Creatures games of my own. Direct me to a way to support and I'm there.

It'd probably be even more effective if people that had GOG accounts used GOG's forum to petition - as GOG already knows that those people can buy from GOG and have done so beforehand - repeat customers.

The "Games You'd Love to see on GOG" Wishlist is only for games or (bigger) expansion packs. If they want to sell add-ons then they must change their systems.
Breeds packs aren't games or expansion packs but are separate objects in-game.
I'll make a suggestion on the wishlist and hopefully they'll have space for selling the breed packs.
EDIT: I've made a wish, It's called Creatures 3/Docking Station Breed Packs and it's on the Gog.com wishlist.

Lembamjunior's got a good point, they'd probably need to do changes to their engine to be able to offer the breedpacks. That might not be very profitable considering what sort of income they can expect from the breedpacks (which is probably not a terrible lot). |

They could offer them in a bundle. Then it would be alot larger and more economic. Sadly those who have a few but not all would have to buy all of them to get the rest.

Hello,
Thank you very much for your suggestion. Please check out our wishlist page to vote for those titles.

This probably means that they are annoyed by these flood of suggestions and they are pointing you to the wishlist.
I saw it coming. The form is for general suggestions, not for game wishes.
I hope that they'll care about the wishlist, though. I really want to buy those, even when I had them once to try them out.
Members do add games to the wishlist theirselves, other members vote for them.
I've made a wish on the list some days age, 13 votes so far.

I think Adam was just being courteous and awknowledging my suggestion. He certainly hasn't dismissed the idea, or told me that I shouldn't have suggested it. What immediately struck me is that the email sounds quite friendly. |

Yes, annoying was not a good word choice. I meant suggestions in general, they possibly made the wishlist to prevent this sort of mails. They responded very kind.
Just to let everyone know, the forum allows anonymous posts without logging in. So people without a account can also sign the petition.
