Wanna discus something that doesn't fit anywhere else? (Not even in strangeo O_O) Or maybe its not enough to warrant a new topic?

How about here? It could be a sticky topic for discussions on things too small for its own topic!

First one: Why does everyone assume that my avatar and Melody's are connected? And why do you all think I got it first when Melody had hers first? AND WHY do you all think She likes me because of it all! :) Ok I'm done ranting now answer away!

Well, its just an interesting theory.

And this kind of topic is awesome, we've had them pop up a few times.

How do you people feel about Valentine's Day?

Do you guys hate stomach aches lol?

Sophie, you can always PM scoota, or you can make a topic about warriors. Its a pretty popular series and would deserve its own topic, don't you think?

Why does everyone assume that my avatar and Melody's are connected?
I don't. They're both from C1, so what?

And why do you all think I got it first when Melody had hers first?
I remember Melody had hers first. :)

AND WHY do you all think She likes me because of it all!
I hope that people like each other on Creatures Caves, it's what makes the forums a happy place. :)

Why do bees buzz?

Bees buzz for two reasons. First, the rapid wingbeats of many species create wind vibrations that people hear as buzzes. The larger the bee, the slower the wingbeat and the lower the pitch of the resulting buzz. This is a phenomenon of the wingbeats and not specifically of bees--some flies, beetles, and wasps also have buzzy flight caused by their wingbeats.

In addition some bees, most commonly bumblebees (genus Bombus), are capable of vibrating their wing muscles and thorax (the middle segment of their body) while visiting flowers. These vibrations shake the pollen off the flower's anthers and onto the bee's body. Some of that pollen then gets deposited on the next flower the bee visits, resulting in pollination. The bee grooms the remainder of the pollen onto special pollen-carrying structures (on the hind legs of most bees) and takes it back to the nest to feed to the larvae.

When bumblebees vibrate flowers to release pollen, the corresponding buzz is quite loud. Honeybees (genus Apis) are incapable of buzz-pollination and are usually quiet when foraging on flowers. As an aside, some flowers are adapted to pollination by pollinators capable of "buzz-pollination." Tomatoes, green peppers and blueberries all have tubular anthers with the pollen inside the tube. When the bee vibrates the flower, the pollen falls out of the tubular anther onto the bee. Consequently, bumblebees pollinate these crops much more efficiently than honeybees do.?

I haven't found more reasons why bees are buzzing. XD

raincat, just as a warning, while the god of small things is the best book ever written, you need to find a happier book to read afterwards because it leaves your soul crushed for about a week. It's amazng how arundhati roi stretche sout such a short story without degrading the quality of her writing at all

I locked this originally because, at first, I thought a miscellaneous discussion topic wasn't neccessary when we have the whole Strangeo forum allocated to post any number of off-topic topics in. Then I spoke to Moe about it for his opinion, and he convinced me it was a decent idea to keep it open. I'm glad he did now, because it's really nice to see you all chatting away like this. :)

... Yes, we mods make mistakes too. :$ lol. Happy chatting!

Yay thats good! :)

@christine: I know how it feels to have a crush on friends... It can suck sometimes but time heals all... Of course I'm assuming that you havent told your crush cause you fear for your friendship or maybe your friend does'nt want to go out. Either way just focus on being a really good friend and think, there's always someone for you :)

Waaah! These words have made me cry! Give me a minute... :'(

In regard to getting over crushes, I think it really just takes time. I've tried talking myself out of them but it doesn't work too well. And Laura, its okay to make mistakes! :)

A wolfling run is when a creatures player hatches norns and leaves them to do as they please. A similar idea called feral runs is when the player can intercept the creature whenever they feel like. Forum wolfling runs are... well it'd be simpler if you just check this out :)

I actually never attempted a wolfling run, believe it or not. XD I've heard so much about them though. This sounds silly, but I get really attached to my norns so I feel bad leaving them on their own.
