Sometimes I think for a moment the elevator noise in DS is creatures kiss-popping. Does anyone else ever think this? XD
What are some of the weirdest noises you've come across in the games (including unused ones)? |

Hmm, I can't say I've thought that about the elevator noise.
But in C1 there's a lot of strange noises that are supposed to sound like birds and animals. There's this one long combination of 'chirruping' noises that sounds weird but really neat.
I'm back after 11 years. Holy dooley! |

Do you know that if you go into the creatures 1 directory and play some of the sound files (especially the talking files) then it all sounds so wierd! If you play the "ouch!" files it sounds kinda cute ^_^
P.S. Though it makes you feel sad as well!

In Creatures PlayStation, once in a while the game made a sound that sounded like a creatures was going to die. I got scared every time that happened. XD Well I was like only 4. I think I can still remember the sound.

@Melody
I think that means the creature's going to die. They do that in C3 or so I've noticed.

I find in C3/DS they do that a lot, especially ettins. They never do die. But in C2, you usually hear it when they faint, then again when they die (of whatever caused them to faint) |

I've also found that when they make that 'die noise' (I know, not exactly creative) they just go on as usual. Something I miss though, is the ring of stars around the creature's head when they go unconscious , as in C2. That was cute |

Deadhumourist: That ring of stars became the bane of my life before I got the Science Kit.
My stomach made a weird noise last night which sounded like a C1 Grendel, does that count? |

I guess so, since they are pretty weird to begin with
Do C1 grendels make a different noise to the rest? I never noticed ti. |

I'm not sure, to be honest. My stomach grumble just sounded reminiscent of that "Brrrrrr" shivering-like noise they make. |

Oh, that.
Hmm, I must expose Grendels to the cold in C2 and C3, see what happens XD |

I can confirm grendels do shiver in C3/DS, it is caused by Histamine B, which is produced by bacteria. (I think coldness is a by-product of this, but I am not sure whether the coldness itself or the histamine causes shivering.)
I also remember them shivering quite frequently in C2, although I could be confusing that with the grendel frost cob. |
