I'm not sure if this is the correct place to post this but since it's only ideas for breeds and not actual breeds being developed, I thought maybe it goes in Strangeo.
I had three ideas for some new breeds that I thought would be sweet. So here they are. They'd be more for writing stories about than actually making.
Honey Bengals: These little Norns are designed to be much more like the tigers they are named after. They have very feline behaviour and mostly eat critters but they also have a keen liking for honey or milk, partly where they get their name from. They like to chase and pounce on prey before they eat it (so they get fun from doing so). The other reason they have their name is because of their appearance. Honey bengals are white furred with black stripes and tan/gold/honey coloured 'points' on their paws, feet, tail tips, ear tips and muzzles. They have long tails without tufts as well as sharp little teeth and claws. They also have stunning blue eyes, though the blue colour can vary. They have either musk pink or jet black paw pads and noses. Honey Bengals tend to have some difficulty mixing with other creatures as they tend to be solitary roamers by nature and when they do meet up, usually only prefer the company of other Honey Bengals. They are territorial and like to make their own territory then patrol it, protect it, and use its resources. They love to wander around. Honey Bengals have a reputation for being brave and good hearted but few in number because of their lifestyle.
Silk Grendels: These creatures have very smooth scales that are like silk to the touch and come in brilliant beautiful patterns and colours, like bolts of embroidered silk. They have very long, fine, needle like teeth and claws. They are usually gentle by nature and prefer eating fish (which they skewer) and fruit (which they slice into pieces and can easily reach out to spear from trees). Silk Grendels can produce a white substance that is useful for healing wounds and making dyes from. They tend to be rather skittish of other, fiercer and stronger creatures. Silk Grendels are quite fragile for Grendels however, they make up for what they lack in strength by speed and agility. They can use their teeth and claws with deadly accuracy but only when need is most dire. Unfortunately, Silk Grendels are quite shy, even of each other, so breeding them is a challenge. Also, they do have the rather unfortunate reputation of liking to eat eggs. (It's only bird's eggs, but no one believes that rumour)
Feather Ettins: These have a soft coating of fluffy white or cream featherdown covering their entire bodies. Sprouting from this, they have larger, more colourful feathers like those of tropical parrots. Usually the feathers are scattered around and also grow often from the Ettin's ear tips (like earrings) wrists, and elbows. Their decorative feathers can be all sorts of colours and patterns, such as green with red circles at the base or tri-coloured red, blue and yellow. The Ettins also have long fine plumes like very thin, sparkly peac.ock feathers sprouting from between two large, rainbow, feathered wings on their backs. The Ettins also have talons on their feet, which is their only protection. They love to live in high up places, especially in trees where they build odd houses and nests. They prefer warm tropical areas and love to steal shiny or pretty items to decorate their homes and nests or to wear themselves. They are very good at growing and tending plants and are playful, inquisitive and love to play small tricks on others. Most have beautiful singing voices. Mostly they eat fruit and seeds. Silk Grendels really would like to eat their eggs.

I think all these breed ideas are great! Just picturing your descriptions in my head, it's like they've been plucked out of a magical fairytale - especially the Feather Ettins, I'd love to see those made. Those rainbow feathered wings sound really funky. |

Silk grendels are the best idea for a grendel breed I think I have ever heard. Are you going to make any of the breeds you came up with?
Mod Edit: Is it O.K. if I post some drawings I have been makeing baised on the breeds you invented? |

Oh wow, thanks you guys. ^_^ It's so nice to have such positive feedback!
@Laura: Thanks! The wings were actually the final touch. I thought they might be too much with the plumes but when I added them together it just seemed to fit.
@Sam999: Well, I really want to make the breeds but I haven't got a clue how to go about it. I'm still trying to work out how to make some agents I dreamed up. O.o
I did manage to do the 'Charles the Cheese' tutorial with my brother's help but that's as far as I've got so far. I'm currently drawing all the pictures for the...sprites I think they are called.

Yeah that's what they're called, sprites.
Oh, please upload the pictures of these breeds when you've finished drawing them? I'd love to see what the Feather Ettins look like on paper. The way they're described, with the plummage, feather earrings and the rainbow wings, I can't help but imagine them as 60s disco ravers or something, lol. |

Okay! I'll draw a male-female pair of each creature and scan them in. I can't say when they'll be finished because I have a busy week ahead but after this week's over and I return to my normal work hours I should have more time.
((Oh, also I should have made it more clear before too. I meant the sprites for my agents, not the ones for my creature ideas. ^_^ But now I'm drawing the creature ones too.))

Wow, I love the Honey Bengal Concept Art! These all sound like great 'lost tribes' of creatures, even if they're so well-realised in your mind that they can't be fully implemented in-game.

Maybe they could be created as new breeds for in-game. I don't really know how though. Lol.
Some of the information would be lost with the transition of course. I originally made them for writing and role playing with. Still it's not to say it couln't be done.
Oh, I also forgot to mention the Honey Bengals are live bearers. I don't know if that's possible in C3/DS but in C2 it was. Hee hee.

Thank you for saying so, Malkin! =^.^=
I'm glad others like them.
Maybe I can somehow make these three breeds after I finish helping Scoota94 with our 'Fragile Norns' project.

I agree with Malkin - I've never seen such beautiful breed concepts. If you haven't checked them all out in the Fan Art Gallery and left a comment yet, you so should! |
