Has anyone here ever spotted subliminal advertisements? Saw a frame of a can of Spam in a Top Gear advertisment just a few minutes ago.

that's called product placement
subliminal messages are designed to fall under the sensory threshold precisely so you don't spot them

Oh, a good example, they used to put in single frames of advertisements, sometimes for smoking, into cartoons, tv shows, whatever, in the past!
Not to mention, during movies, they'd have commercials (movie theaters), and single frames randomly placed, to make people want to get popcorn!
A good example, well, on an episode of Nuerotically Yours, named 'Subliminal Cut', Foamy talks about it, but mind you, it's a bit, innapropriate!
Also, in video games, you'll see advertisements for real life things.
My step dad bought a nascar game, it was pretty cute, graphics wise, but they had advertisements in the scenery for things like coke, all the time, and you'd pass by them so easily, without a thought, but every once in a while, you'll notice, what the heck?!, and go into reverse, just to see it.
