Okay so i was signed to an art website. I met someone and we were friends but after awhile he got clingy. When I told him he clung even tighter and continually harassed me. After getting sick of it I decided I wanted out. While I had lots of other friends there this one clingy guy was ticking me off. As soon as I said I was leaving-HE FAKED HIS OWN DEATH! Talk about silly...Then to top it off he made dummy accounts to harass me. I had to leave now. Then instantly I was acused of being a drama queen!? (Albiet not directly but it seemed rather coincidental how it was written within a few hours of my announcement. ) I feel bad for leaving people but I couldn't take this jerk cyberstalking me. I want to know did I make the right move? |

No but later that day he stupidly signed back in pestering me even more. Also I poked a hole in the logic of the story. Some of the evidence did not add up. |

Can't you report him? If he's come back after being dead it should be pretty obvious to people that he's lying.  |

He has been banned but I feel bad for leaving people and my respect from my friends is probably ruined for assuming me to be drama hunting when this jerk was harassing me. |

If being in that situation was making you feel uncomfortable, then yes, it was a good idea. You should feel safe whilst you're using the internet. Give your friends an explanation if it'll help you feel better.  |

Agreed. I've honestly been through the same thing a couple months ago. Some person on a different forum decided to make it their life's goal to fly off the handle and scream at me whenever I posted [no joke--simply stating that I liked computer games or that I had pets became a one-sided flamewar]. And to make matters worse everyone else on that forum blamed me! So I just gave up and left. Even if they had booted that person out I wouldn't have been inclined to stay. If these people can't even see basic reason, they are not your friends. If they blame you for being harassed, they are not your friends. Having a good reputation isn't worth suffering through an atmosphere that's just going to drag you down. |

I know people that can be clingy, and I can be a bit clingy some times, but, FAKING HIS OWN DEATH? I mean, it's okay to be a bit clingy, but if you fake your own death, there is something wrong with you..... I think it was the right move, because, the only other thing you could have done, is try to introduce him to many more people, get him more friends, so that you're not his center of attention all the time! beep |

This was the right move!  Never register on a website with a lot of drama, anger, hate and other things, you must allways feel safe on the internet. |
