This is a story based around a World I created once, back when I was in an active A2K. The Story itself is quite popular in the forums I do visit (Such as the SPORE Forum known as the DAC.)
Please note, I can no longer make time to find, or even complete, this project. If you read the story and decide to make the world, feel free to do so.
I will be posting the first part/intro of the story soon. Please be patient, as I pride myself on good quality writing.

-Hierophant's Norn Fortress-
Drifting through space at a steady rate, the massive megalith of Hierophant passed silently between worlds. No noises...no lights to say it's there...just the vast, dead remains of a once-proud civilisation....
Hierophant, a powerful hand, with terrible secrets within. He once ruled Hijarr with a firm but kind demeanor. Unfortunately, his kindness towards the Ettins was his undoing. The Ettins, in a terrifying invasion, stole all the technology, killed the Gendel guards, and captured the Norns as slaves. Hijarr was left in ruins. Fleeing the planet, Hierophant hand-crafted the mighty Fortress, an immense, capillata-sized monolith of extraordinary proportion. The fortress of hierophant...
Let us go back to Hijarr, where it all began. Dear friends, Hijarr was much like albia, albeit different colours. Indeed, personalities are different too. Norns get along with Grendels fine...but Ettins? Oh no. Ettins are the evil force! Ettins are the monsters, as we shall very shortly see.

Hijarr was a proud society. The madness of the streets and the bustling of the norn crowds only showed it in more detail. Massive grendels stood watch over the norn citizens, large vortex spears showing their power to all. Sat atop the mighty throne was I, the only light in the dark world. As the norn community continued at their daily business, only one person knew the eventual fate of Hijarr.
Only he....only Feranos.
Feranos was an angel norn of female persuasion. I ignored the senile old bat until its whining grew too great for me to slap aside. "Ettin eat norn, Ettin eat norn" were the only unintelligible babblings coming from the creature's mouth. Senile and clueless, it would seem. Nay, it is not true. Feranos saw it all. He knew the beginning of the end, and I swatted him aside like a common garden pest. A grave mistake, I fancy.
Yet I cared only about the young and the sensible. Feranos came into neither of those groups, and he was left to babble like a madman while I bore away the rest of my day in more intellectual matters. Another fatal mistake, you say? I daresay you'd be correct in your query. Feranos didn't mind, he was always seen with a cheerful attitude. When it comes to his disposition, there is none greater than the cheery smiles of the senile old angel. Damn me a thousand times for the treatment of him, and damn any man who would not stay up all night damning me! It was not right, and even now i wish for a change.

My failure to see hindsight was every bit my fault, I admit, but I cannot help thinking the grendels were not doing their duties. Goodness! How can you know the fevered ramblings of this madman without some testament to what had happened before? How can you see the events of years hence when you have not seen the events of years before? I cease my foolhardy words, and return to the past, where indeed we should be.
In my lecture I had temporarily forgotten the point in which my tale had ceased, but in my time of thought I can now relate to the parts I had indeed missed. Feranos had babbled that same sentence for the better part of four hours before I had the object of his body removed from my altar. I could not bear endless rants from one who didn't know his pelvis from his forehead. "anything but norns. Give me anything but norns. Grendels, Ettins, anything" is what I would mutter to myself whenever he drew near. Hopeless wretch, he tried in vain to change my everlasting opinion.
I decided to break myself from the cold confine of my altar, see the world which was so rightfully mine. Hijarr...in all my time here I have never seen the roll of the waves. A sad prospect, I know very well. How flawed of me to not but even survey the world in which I make my residence! Great God! Damn me some more for my blindness to beauty! Alas, my recent studies have left me indefinately detained in my little alcove, but soon the prisoner shall be released from the shackles of labour, and can once again fly free. At least, that is the fate I had hoped of myself.
