This is one of those feel-good threads where we post what our norns, ettins, or even grendels have done that have made us feel all warm and fuzzy.
The moment that sparked me to post this thread happened just a few minutes ago between my two genetically engineered blue Bengal norns. The two of them were up in the middle level of the Norn Terrarium beneath the apple tree collecting fruits and eating them. One of them turns to the other with a smile on its face and seems to "hand" the other norn the apple. The second norn hands it back. This went back and forth for about a minute or two until one of them ate the apple. The other, now somewhat droopy-looking, wandered off in search of a toy. I couldn't decide whether they were playing tug-of-war over a single fruit or a very small game of catch that ended strangely, but it warmed me up all the same.
Go ahead and post some of yours!
(thanks for the title fix by the way) |

i had a family of eskimo norns in DS docked with c3 and c12ds, and i hatched the egg in the c3 incubator, i was keeping the other in the desert, and while it was hatching, the dad had come over witha stuffed bear from c12ds and waited for the baby to hatch. when it hatched it walked around for a few seconds then died *sniff* and the dad put a sad face on and refused to leave the baby's body
D:
i cried so hard. |

Is there a way to post images here? Stupid question, I know, but the codes seem different here.
Anyway, at GW, I have a picture in my sig of a male and female Fallow norn seemingly holding hands, gazing in happiness at the sky(ceiling). Like they are in love. Too sweet. They stayed in that position without moving for at least a minute, when I first noticed it. <3 |

The movie? Or the song? (I assume the movie. X3)
Anyway, this is more of a funny moment instead of a touching moment, but in C12DS some of my C1 norns started dancing on an invisible dance floor! They were all doing a sort of moonwalk. They would crouch over, then walk backwards, then reach a certain point, turn around, and walk backwards back to the starting point! It was hilarious when two norns were doing it, because the norns would often end up behind to behind. XD

Man, I wish my creatures were this sweet and "Awww" inducing. All of my norns are jerks.
You have to be honest with yourself when you are writing. If that leads to somewhere unexpected then perhaps you really needed to go there.

This reminds me a particular story that happened during a wolfling run--or rather, after one.
I came home from school one day to find the game paused by the wolfling run helper agent. There was only one living norn in the entire game world, an amalgam of all of the different species of norn that I had placed in the world. He had apparently been living off of only one type of food, so I pulled him out for testing of precisely why he survived in the environment he chose while every other norn failed to thrive.
From all I could tell he was relatively normal, but then he showed off one characteristic that made me change my mind. Whenever he felt the need to go looking for different types of food than the seeds he was eating (from a wolfling vendor I had placed there), he would wander off to the Norn Meso on the Capillata from his home base in the Aquatic Terrarium. The interesting part? He then proceeded to eat all of the food on the bottom floor of the Meso save for one berry. He then turned around, picked up the berry, did a very interesting little dance, and proceeded to toss the berry into his mouth.
Apparently he had survived by eating everyone else's food. Jerk. |

Oh wow.
Not only that, but he was shoving that fact in everyone's face with that little dance.
"AHAHAHA! I'M GONNA SURVIVE AND YOU AREN'T! WATCH MUH BOOTAY!" *dances*
.....
XD Do you still have him?

Yeah, but he's really old now. I could probably clone him and give you a child version of him; he may not develop the same survival skill but he's a very nice-looking norn if you have all of the free norn breeds (i.e. all of the ones that were recently released from the shop).
Speaking of which, any word on when the actual Creatures shop will come back up yet? I'm thinking of buying at least the Treehuggers and Bondis, probably all of them.
EDIT: I uploaded a baby clone of him real quick to the adoption list. If you're looking for a really cute G6 go grab him; he's up now :3 |

I don't know how touching this is but... I started playing C1 again today and have left my Norns to their own devices, observing them on and off for the past hour and a half.
My male Santa Norn (Santa) and my female Forest Norn (Nancy) decided to accompany each other to the island and stayed there together for a good half hour. Then Santa just got up and left Nancy stranded there - which I thought was not gentlemanly-like at all.
Meanwhile, Sid, my male Forest Norn, had been way over on the other side of Albia, in the garden. However, when I checked the game a little while later I found, to my surprise, that Sid had found Nancy on the island and seemed to be keeping her company.

I just thought that was a "Awww" worthy moment - Sid obviously has better ideas about how lady Norns should be treated. |

I just thought of one. It's pretty generic, I think, for anyone who owns C1, but....
The Grendel Beach Ball dance. Whenever my Grendel gets ahold of the ball and starts dancing around with it with this huge grin on their face, I think it's the most adorable thing in the world. It's like... like he's finding happiness in the stupidest, most inane little things.

Heh, that can't fail to make me smile. 8) Grendels can be pretty funny that way.
...And speaking of Grendels, I had a female once who kept on repeating, "Me like hand" like a fanatic. ^_^ It was cute.

In C1 just now, I have two forest norns. One forest norn, the female, Nancy, loves playing with the ball. She seemed to be trying to get Sid, the male, to play with her. She kicked the ball over in his direction. She paused in the act of kicking, as if waiting for a response, and Sid just looked at the ball for a little while, then walked off to "push food".
Sid's not the brightest norn. Keeps trying to eat weeds. Heh, not exactly touching. But funny.

OH gosh. I remember whilst playing either C3 or C3 Docked, two of my norns had mated and had a baby, once the baby hatched, it told the parents it loved them, and the parents told the baby they loved it. This went on for quite a while. I've never seen them use the word love before, so this was pretty cool for me!!

Lol, yes, one time I had a family of Norns living in the Norn Meso in Creatures 3. They were quite a large family and once one had started saying "Me like (name of Norn)" it spread to all of them and they did it for hours, over and over. All their cute, squeaky little voices got pretty loud so I had to turn the volume down. Ha ha! ^_^ Everyone liked everyone else a lot. Plus, as soon as there was a bit of quiet for a second, another Norn would start it all up again.
Another time I had some babies and parents who kept saying "Me love (name of Norn)" to each other, but that didn't last as long as the 'Me like..." thingy. It's so adorable! I have also had "Me dislike/hate..." but that's scary when it happens. o.O
I'm back after 11 years. Holy dooley! |
