See, this is why I don't participate in ebay auctions.
I'm going to sit here for another hour and 15 minutes clicking refresh and feeling nervous/sick. XD |

lol! I feel for you... I'm doing the same thing with the ocean one, one hand on the trigger finger! (well, kind-of... dylan is bidding on my behalf)

Ack! It just went up to £51!
Edit: £92!
EDIT: Sorry for the double post. Got a bit tense there. Who won the underwater scene?
EDIT2: Wow. I'm gutted. Sniped for £225 right at the end. Just not something that I can afford right now... |

I did.
It's up to 102 on yours! are you hanging in?
*edit* holy crap, 225! Who got it? D: |

I had said that £150 was my absolute maximum, when it hit £225 I was about to put 230 in but I hesitated. I'm devastated but I just can't afford that at the minute. |

Dang man... that sucks :<
Seriously, I would have put in part to make up the difference for you to ensure it went to a fan... I hope whoever won it is a creatures fan and not using it as a pretty fish tank! |

You know the comment that really scared me on ebay? - "Due to the size of the item, we're thinking of buying one of these and dividing it into several pieces. .."

Yeah, I feel a bit sick thinking about that. |

Don... lol, no worries there. We didn't think it was under glass, so were wondering if it could be divided for shipping. There will be no cutting - it will ship whole (maybe with the stand part taken off)
Did you get the forest one? |

If somebody uses the garden one as a fish tank or cuts it up, ill freak. If someone pops up and says "hey I bought the garden" ,Ill freak then give the person a big hug.

I request high resolution photos of every inch of these models from the purchasers so soon as they are safely housed. It is your civic duty as a Creatures Community member to do so. lol |

Congratulations Don and Spoony, you lucky people! Thank you so much for ensuring these models ended up in the right hands, it's such a relief. And yes, more photos please! I'd love to see the Garden scene in greater detail. |

Wait so Don got the garden scene?
I'm gutted that I didn't get it, but I'm glad that it went to such a long standing member of the community and not someone who wouldn't appreciate and look after it.
Wish you had spoken up sooner though and saved the vicious bidding war! |

The new photos added on Ebay were pretty fantastic..
I placed a bid for a fair few hundred when I came by and didn't know initially who was bidding until I checked the forums afterwards
Delivery was a fair wack on top too, but I'm looking forward to having any necessary refurb done and finding a nice place for it

I'm glad you said that, Don.
I was kicking myself thinking that I could have had it had I not hesitated with the last bid but it sounds like I had no chance.
I bow to your superior disposable income!

lol, I'm afraid I'm taking out a small loan to get it.. but I was also so scared it wouldn't go to a fan/collector that I was forced to do it.. I was kinda hoping it would stay under £50 and I'd be safe
I will indeed

So Don got one and spoonyspork got the other? Sounds like things turned out pretty well.
I agree with Moe--I would love to see some nice pretty photos of the models. (Just think: Albia revisited, C1 in 24-bit! ...okay, maybe not.)
But it would be nice to have a commentary on what everything is made out of, since it's kind of hard to tell how it all was constructed from the images we've had to go by so far. I still have a (vague) dream of some day piecing together my own metaroom background from hobby shop supplies, it would be nice to know what the real deal consists of.

Eep! If I had known you were going to such lengths to get it I wouldn't have bid so high and saved you a bit of money! |

I'm glad to see that both models ended up going to members of the community, who sound like they'll take excellent care of these pieces of history! I, too, am extremely interested in seeing updated photos and learning more about these amazing models. Congratulations and good luck with all of the shipping logistics!

Arrrgh.
UPS gave me the bait and switch. I got a quote on their site, called to make sure I had every detail correct, made sure there wasn't *any* detail I was missing... and hit the 'ship' button... and got a general error.
I called UPS and they're like 'Oh! Sorry, this can only go business to business!' ... Well saying something to that effect *anywhere* would sure have been helpful! >.<
So now I've got a very angry courier with a box built and no place to go with it! Is there anyone close by who can take this until I can get over there? We're going to be in the UK in August.
This one is actually quite a bit smaller than originally thought - 48" by 32" by 27" ... in the box it would only be a bit larger.
Let me know if anyone can help right away! The courier will be there *tomorrow* May 18th!
Thank you! |

That is awful.. Have you spoken to Jeremy? Maybe as a company he can get round the business to business issue, or be able to keep hold of it a bit longer?
How far have you paid the courier to take it? What's their range? I'm about 145 miles Grabbing both wouldn't be a problem, but getting it back up there again to ship might be
