Here it goes - I apologise in advance if anything goes pear-shaped! One wintery Sunday morning, Muco awoke from his third nap of the day to find that a strange portal had appeared next to him. 'Bizarre.', he thought, for it looked so out of place, as if it belonged to another world from the days of old. Puzzled, he continued to stare at this strange object, with it's old weathered stone walls, and why was there a picture of a carrot ontop of it?  Suddenly, the Hand appeared out of nowhere, with a baby Norn in tow. A Horse Norn, with blonde hair and big, bright eyes, who held onto its fingers tightly, as it led her upto the doorway, which had now started to glow. In a quick, blinding flash of blue haze, the Norn disappeared... Muco witnessed a lot that morning, as he watched the Hand send 17 more Norns through this strange portal, each vanishing underneath a quick flash of light. 'Where are they going?' he asked the Hand, after he watched a trembling little Ron Norn go through.  'Many adventures await these eighteen chosen ones', replied the Hand in a mysterious air, 'Only the best will survive' it added, grinning. 'Oh, right' mumbled Muco, as his eyes began to droop again, it was just another of the Hand's games. But even as he fell back into the stupor of sleep he wondered, 'Where were they going?' Oh, the joys of trying to write a story off the cuff when you've just woken up. I hope you all like it. The real Wolfling Run update will follow shortly, after I've imported everyone's teams. |

Sorry about the delay - not mentioning any names, but AquaShee M and Scoota94 M decided to delay things for me by getting stuck in the inventory whilst I was importing everyone! Everyone seems to have spread out and separated into little groups, or have wandered off by themselves: C-Rex M is just staring at me - maybe he wants something? 'Cheese! Gimme cheese!'  Whilst C-Rex F is being a bit of a loner, lurking by the C12DS portal. Perhaps she's feeling homesick for the Meso.   There's a group clustered by the entrance to the kitchen:  Arnout F, AquaShee F, Agentrok F and GrendelMan F. Mother's meeting ladies? I think Arnout M and Scoota94 F are hidden behind them too. What's Arnout M is doing there, I wonder - has he discovered his feminine side?  And another on the outskirts of the garden:  GrendelMan M, AquaShee M and Agentrok M. Gentleman's club, much? Is this the start of a divide between the sexes?!  Scoota94 M seems content enough to fall alseep in the lift. Nothing much else to report here. Maybe it's his own make-shift 'bedroom'.  Ghosthande M seems to be backed up in fear against the incubator, I wonder what's got him so spooked?  AquaShee F has also separated herself from the others, and is happily playing with the Jack-in-a-Box up in the Grendel Treehouse.  Melody M and Ghosthande F are keeping each other company by the learning computer. Is this the beginnings of a beautiful relationship? Will sparks fly over the verbs and nouns? Time will tell!  Christine F appears to be waiting for the cable car. Maybe she's waiting to go somewhere. The efficency of public transport these days is terrible!  And finally, Christine M is on the other side, by the bee hives. Perhaps he's waiting patiently for Christine F, who knows. Maybe he's wondering why that darn cable car is late!  |

I was just about to nip in the shower when I spotted something sad. We have our first death:I'm sorry GrendelMan, but GrendelMan M has just died, at 15 minutes old.  At least you can download his old EXP file for the Adoption section in the Xmas WR (Males) pack. I did test Team C1 Grendel first and they did successfully grow to adulthood and mate with each other - perhaps this one was just unlucky. |

Maybe they’re having a baby-shower! Christine F appears to be very content to hold that little cream and black mottled egg. Could it be hers, or is she just feelin’ broody?  A smaller group are just chillin’ in the garden. Agentrok M, Agentrok F, C-Rex F and Christine M. Christine M seems to have fallen asleep whilst sunbathing by the looks of it.  Melody M and Melody F are currently at the other end of the garden, scoffing potatoes. Potatoes must be very popular in this world! Notably, these two Ron Norns have appeared to stick together so far, how sweet.   Scoota94 M has finally emerged from his lift ‘bedroom’ and now seems to be playing with the ball in the upper level of the Grendel tree house. I swear, this Norn has not left this tree house in blinkin’ ages! I think he needs to get out and socialise more. It’ll be interesting to see if he does venture anywhere else. His fellow team member, Scoota94 F is a lot more sociable. So yeah, that’s it for now. I’ll update again in a couple more hours or so. I hope you’ll liking this Wolfling Run so far. When I update again, I’ll see who’s parented those eggs and let you all know!C-Rex: I don't know whether the C12DS Grendels share genetics with the C3 Grendels or not, maybe check the Creatures Wiki? From what I observed though, those two seemed pretty friendly towards the Norns when they were alive. I mean, there were the odd few beatings up, but those seemed few and far between. |

If theres crossbreeds,what do we do? I say it should be determined by which parts are dominant,so if the dogys breed with the PMNs,and the only dodgy part is the head,it'd be counted as auqashee's. Is that a good idea? In my nerd cave, nobody can hear you scream. Feed my pets: Shroomy and Glow! |

The owner's kit (or whatever it's called in DS) tells you who a Norn's parents are. I suppose you could simply tally up what percentage of the population comes from each team--ie. a Norn who has Pixie and Dodgy parents is counted as 1/2 Pixie and 1/2 Dodgy, if they have offspring with a Santa that offspring counts as 1/4 Pixie, 1/4 Dodgy and 1/2 Santa... etc. It would take more work but at least you'd know for sure who has the greatest foothold genetics wise, since AFAIK body part inheritance is random.  |

You could just say if a user's female layed the egg it would belong to that user. For example if C-Rex's male mates with Melody female it would belong to Melody since it's her female who gave birth to the baby norn. |

Melody: I took a screenshot using the PrntSc key, pasted it into MS Paint, then I cut the images I wanted out of it and saved them. Agentrok: That could work, it seems logical enough – I’m open to any suggestions. Oh my, it’s all gone a bit crazy!! Eggs.  Lots and lots of eggs.  I’ve had store them all down there because they were blocking my view of the Norns. None of them are going to hatch until some of the population has died out, I don’t think. So, I don’t think there’s a chance of this run dying out just yet! The New Additions From perusing the Creature Selector and the Crypt, since I last updated this afternoon there’s been four new offspring in Christmas Town. I’ll start off with the sad news – one of them died at three minutes old:  Unnamed, he was generation 2 and his parents were Agentrok F and C-Rex M. Condolences guys. The other four however, are still very much alive. This one I’ve named Alice – she’s adult, generation 2 and her parents are Scoota94 F and Christine M:  This one is named Amy - she's a little 'un, she's generation 2 and her parents are C-Rex F and Agentrok M.  This one is named Amanda – she’s adult, generation 2 and her parents are Ghosthande F and Christine M. Christine M sure gets around!  The last newcomer of this update is Adam – he’s adult, generation 2 and his parents are Arnout F and Ghosthande M.  So overall, despite all the un-hatched eggs, I think this run is thriving well! Let’s catch with the others and see what they’re doing and how they’re coping with the daily grind of adulthood... Look! Eem-Foo is here!  Adam, Scoota94 F and Alice are in the garden. Don’t ask me what Adam and Scoota94 are up to with their eyes closed, I do not know. Meditating maybe? Alice seems pretty happy just holding her potato - Seriously, what is with these Norns and their potatoes? You’d think there was an upcoming potato famine or something! Agentrok F and C-Rex M are underneath the Pagoda... Running away from each other? I can’t tell. Maybe they’re playing hide and seek, and Agentrok F is counting with her back turned, whilst C-Rex M is running away to hide.  Arnout M, Arnout F and Ghosthande M are just hangin’ in the kitchen. I find the way that Arnout F and Ghosthande M are staring at me a bit un-nerving! Maybe they want to outdo me in a staring contest? Or maybe they’ve just drunk too much coffee. I spy the kettle.  Amanda and C-Rex F are keeping each other company outside the kitchen. Playing chase and playing with the spinning top. Even more potatoes.  Amy has somehow ventured to where I’ve stored all the eggs. Perhaps she’s looking after them for me. I wonder how long she’s going to be down there? I hope she doesn’t get lost amongst them all!  Christine M, Christine F, Melody F, and AquaShee M are also out in the garden enjoying the sunshine. AquaShee seems to be picking lemons, Melody F is... hiding (from what?) Christine F is doing that freaky staring thing, whilst Christine M looks like he’s sleepwalking in the greenhouse. Melody M seems to be solitary.  However, AquaShee F close by, yet she doesn’t look very sociable either.  Now, you remember how Scoota94 M never used to leave the Grendel tree house? Well, he’s moved, to the Norn Meso via the C12DS portal. He’s gone from one extreme to the other and seems quite content. It’ll be interesting to see if he stays there.  He’s not alone though, for Agentrok M has joined him. He looks dead in this picture, but I promise you he’s not!  This is the last update of today I think – it’s coming up to 9 PM in the evening and I might be too tired to update again today, I’ll see. Feedback on what you think of it so far would be great though. So... Any idea who’s winning yet? Answers on a postcard please. |

R.I.P. AquaShee F  What a trooper. She did successfully breed twice - unfortunately those two eggs have been lost in the sea of un-hatched eggs underneath the incubator. Condolences, AS. Her EXP file, from when she was a baby, is still available in the Xmas WR (Females) though.I personally think that the easiest way of dividing up the second generation Norns into their 'teams' would be to do it by their heads = their heads determining which breed they are. I just think that way is more straightforward. Thoughts? |

Morning. I am afraid I am the bearer of bad news for two of you. We have two more deaths and both of them are generation 1 Norns. Agentrok F  Scoota94 M  May they rest in cheese and honey. However, they do say that every cloud has a silver lining. After Scoota94 M and Agentrok F left us, two new baby Norns hatched! The New Additions This is Aaron – he is a baby, generation 2 and his parents are Melody F and Ghosthande M (that is obvious. ) And here’s Albus – he is a baby, generation 2 and his parents are Arnout F and AquaShee M (that is a bit obvious too. ) Congratulations Melody, Ghosthande, Arnout and AquaShee! Am I the only who’s a bit psyched over the fact that each look identical to their fathers and look more like hatchery Norns, rather than crossbreeds? Amazing!I wonder what the others are up to on the morning of Day Two? Ghosthande F is near the submarine, eating a healthy breakfast snack of sunflower seeds. I wonder if she’ll decide to take an overseas trip?  That Eem Foo appears to be babysitting our newcomers, Albus and Aaron, over by the bee hives. I hope he’s not giving them a honey sugar-high! That wouldn’t be very responsible of him would it?  C-Rex M and C-Rex F look like they’re having a late Monday morning lie in together. Altogether now... ‘Awww!’  Christine M and Christine F are also looking very couple-y by the lemon trellis, having potatoes for breakfast, what a surprise! These generation 1 Norns are amazing!  Arnout M is just staring at me over by the incubator...  And his team member, Arnout F, is having a snooze in the garden.  Amy, amazingly, has travelled all the way to the Grendel tree house.  Amanda, Scoota94 F and Adam seem to be having a communal breakfast, warm and snug by the fire. Amanda: ‘Oh no! There’s only one piece of cheese left!’  Melody F, AquaShee M and Melody M are chillin’ by one of the lifts. Do you stick AquaShee M is scared by that carrot Melody M is yielding? Melody F: ‘I challenge you to a duel, sir!’ AquaShee M: ‘Aaaaaahhh!!’ Melody M: ‘OMG, Melody M, you’re SO embarrassing!’  Agentrok M is still enjoying his holiday in Norn Meso. And happily, he appears to have been taught some Handish! This makes him the most intelligent Norn in Christmas Town! I think he’s quite tired. And he doesn’t appear to be lonely either. And, er, yeah, I forgot to inject the C12DS Christmas Pack yesterday, which was the whole point of it being a Christmas run.  It’s been injected now though! Also, there won’t be as many updates today, my boyfriend is over today – but I’ll keep DS running and update later this evening. |

Here’s a mini-update for you all, as quite a fair bit has happened (there’ll be a bigger update later tonight): There’s been three more deaths. Ghosthande F  Doesn’t she look so pretty and peaceful.  Amanda  It’s a shame we can’t really see her in her last photo. Unnamed Creature  He was only 1 minute old, and his parents are Scoota94 F and Christine M. There’s also been two new arrivals: Abby  She’s generation 2 and her parents are Christine F and Agentrok M, and she has no tail! Axel  He’s generation 2 and his parents are Arnout F and Melody M. I’m looking forward to seeing our first generation 3 Norns soon. There’s also three new eggs:  Perhaps one of these is our first generation 3 Norn? |
