author | Norn_master | website | [view] | Creatures Pocket Edition is designed to let you carry your creatures games in your pocket. Run the games, back up your worlds, and keep your world separate from the ones on your PC using the world switcher. You can also back up your favorite exported creatures!
Creatures USB 1.0 to 1.2 was considered the Alpha version. Creatures USB 1.3 to 1.4 was in beta. Creatures Pocket Edition 1.5 is an official release, which was marked by a change in the loader color from black to violet. Version 1.6 is recognized as the anniversary edition. Essentially, it is the same as 1.5, but with some changes and additions, such as the ability to pull up the reference cards from the menu.
Update: I will be updating to version 2.0 soon. This update will include launching options for Steam support from the outset, as well as an optional Legacy launcher. I have updated the videos to improve the bit rate and sound quality, and I have also utilized video interlacing techniques. The videos are slightly larger in size. Additionally, I will include a copy of my Legacy instructions video, along with a new PDF on how to get the game to work on Steam via USB.
Personal note: Hopefully, your dreams of carrying creatures in your pocket have come true. I would say that the journey through alpha, beta, and up to release has been a tremendous success. It has been truly enjoyable to work on this project, and I hope it has been very valuable to you as well. It has certainly been a treasure for me—not only because I contributed to one of my favorite childhood games, but also because I helped create something truly essential for both veterans and newcomers alike.
This pet project has been one I have worked on and off for over three years. From tinkering with it to its first Alpha release in 2012, and then an official release in 2015, followed by the 20th anniversary edition in 2016. Now, I am revisiting the project in late 2024 for a planned release in 2025, with the goal of completing it in 2026 in time for the 30th anniversary plans.
Please Note: I have tested this on the new version of Windows 11 ONLY. For whatever reason, Steam seems to be smoother with drive letter reintegration. This process is less complicated and better for those who are not computer savvy.
IMPORTANT: The Legacy launcher will be included, along with a complete installation of the 1.6 20th Anniversary Edition. IF, FOR ANY REASON, you decide to follow the instructions for the Legacy Edition, PLEASE NOTE that there is no going back. As long as the registry files are present on your computer, the installation pathways will be locked to the L drive. This will interfere with running C3 and DS. Removing the Legacy version is NOT RECOMMENDED, as it would require deleting the registry files from the Windows registry. Therefore, I have securely saved the registry files in a zip folder with a warning attached. The zip file is password protected, and you can find the password in the 1.6 instructions. At the top of the 1.6 instructions, there will be a warning in bold print, with the password listed beneath it.
If you have the Legacy version installed and need assistance uninstalling it, please contact me immediately. Based on the responses I receive, I will create a PUBLIC step-by-step instructional guide to help you.

Edit : 12/30/2024: Currently, the links lead to version 1.6. I will be releasing version 2.0 soon and hope to have all the bugs worked out by the 30th Anniversary in 2026. Please note that version 2.0 does not have support for Creatures Village on Steam; however, it is a planned future edition. |

Everything is current now. Enjoy. Will update it if I ever include the steam version. It's a little bit different than the GoG version. I'm not even sure if the GoG it's kept current like the steam version.

Yeah I've been doing some reorganizing of the Google file in my drive, so I don't think the addresses are quite right. I'll try to fix it. I am planning an update to include the Steam Version.

I have no clue. Kindle uses Android as far as I know. Unless you modified it to run Windows 10 tablet OS, and even then it does not run .exe extensions as far as I know.
I did do some personal research on Splashtop personal remote software. You download the app to your Kindle, then download the streaming software to windows 10, then stream it. That is about to as close as I know to what your asking.
Edit: I think I know what you mean. You still need a PC running Windows Vista, 7, 8, or 10, regardless of it being able to go on a Micro SD card.

If this did work for Win 10, how do you go about installing it on a Kindle Fire HD 7" (2nd Generation Kindle)?

Added a note claiming as of right now, this project will work on Windows 7. Windows 8 and 10 support has not been added.
