They don't regrow after being picked, so they aren't "growing" there as much as "hovering in the air"... which makes sense, because pineapples don't grow from trees! Version 1.1 has a cleaner, brighter sprite, and fixes an issue where pineapples would not disappear after being eaten. If you would rather have infinitely-edible pineapples, version 1.0 is also included.
