Creatures 3 hard mode C3 Arnout | 2/18/2017 | 10 |
type | Misc | author | Arnout | updated | 7/20/2017 | version | 1.2 | A series of .cos files that is meant to increase the difficulty of Creatures 3. Includes upgrades to pick-ups, to the user interface and to the welcome screen starter parents.
- As soon as you select your first Creature, your camera is bound to that Creature. In order to gain camera-freedom your Norns need to activate a pick-up. This means that you also have camera freedom as long as you have no Creatures (selected).
- The ability to drag Creatures around needs to be unlocked as well as the option to carry them around. This is done by the upgrade in the Aquatic Terrarium.
- You can unlock the ability to adjust the maximum amount of Norns in your world under the options menu. "Max Creatures" is always 8 more than "Max Norns." The limit must always be at least 10.
- Also includes two optional .cos files. The first one upgrades the Creatures 3 incubator and the second one removes the sound effect from favourite place icons. See the text files for more information.
Back up your original files.
Update 1.1: Added files for DS support.
- Prevents a catalogue error when starting up.
- Prevents the camera from locking onto your current Creature target in docked worlds.
If you come across anything suspicious in DS, comment here. As far as I know, in docked worlds all pick-ups are activated already, this should remain as it is.
Update 1.2:
- You can now turn Creature voices off and on in Creatures 3.
- The Norn population limit adjuster has a small icon now. |

This looks pretty awesome!

Oops! Forgot to test it in DS. I'll bring an update ASAP.
The original hatchery closes down when your current amount of Norns/Creatures is 60% of your population limit. This patch upgrades the hatchery so that it needs to be equal to the max amount of Norns/Creatures to close down. - From the readme
