type | Misc | author | GimmeCat | updated | 3/26/2023 | version | 1.4 | Creatures need no longer fear getting a drink! This COB moves both water pumps (the Hatchery and Ettin Garden ones) a little further away from the room boundaries, greatly reducing wall-bumping (and all the fear, pain, and punishment that comes with it).
-----
Update 27/03/2023:
Rewritten scripts to fix the 'infinite flow' glitch. Pump should always turn itself off now.
Update 22/07/2017:
Some bugfixes, and updated script numbers. If you already have this in your game, please first use the Object Injector to remove it. Then download and extract the files into the appropriate folders, overwriting when prompted. Then re-inject. |

Not sure why I never answered this before, but pipe.s16 is a completely new sprite file created for this cob. If the game asked you to overwrite pipe.s16, it's possible you're using another cob that uses a sprite file with the same name. I don't recognize the object in the screenshot you posted, except that it looks like a very large pipe... so that's my best guess. If you know what cob that's from, let me know and I'll check it out!

I have found out recently that after installing the new pipe.s16 file the game freezes and crashes when I visit the swamp area, probably because it actually replaces an existing sprite. Would it be possible for you to make a new .s16 file for the new pipe?

Thanks GimmeCat. I believe the crashing may be an issue with the game itself, but I'm not 100% sure. I do know that it is most likely an actual issue with the game rather than the worlds as I am still able to open worlds after I have reinstalled the game.

C-Rex, if you're still willing to try, please re-download the package. I am such an idiot, and I'm so sorry for not noticing the missing sprite sooner!

Wait... Did I seriously not include pipe.s16 in the package?

Update: I reinstalled Creatures 2, replaced the pump.16 file and placed the cob file in my objects directory. As soon as I injected the "fix" the sprites became very misaligned and this happens. Tater on when I tried to load the same world, the game began crashing again.

In the case of the Say Need Cob, it is literally just a replacement script. I can't see any reason it would crash a game. I'll see if I can ask some of the experts here (if I can grab their ear) if they know what could be up.

I believe I'm also using the GoG version. How very strange!

What version of the game are you running, C-Rex? These Cobs were built using the GoG version, which I believe is fully patched and using the latest Injector version. You may need to download and install the updates for your game. Please let me know if this isn't the case!

I downloaded this COB, along with your "Say Need No More" COB and Creatures 2 crashes whenever I load a world.
