Their sprites allow them to change colors with every movement. They use the Creatures 3 Expressive 47 Norn genome, which means that they are non-CFE.

Jewels originally provided this dedication for the Mask Norns as follows, "The Mask Norns are dedicated to my sister, Jennifer, and her unborn baby. Born July 31, 1970 and killed by a 16 year old drunk driver on May 31, 1999."
