She once believed herself to be an ordinary grendelchi, but as time went on the evidence to contrary kept piling up to the point where she could no longer believe herself when she said that. She eventually came to the conclusion that she was a dragon, but she never learned what exactly that was. The one creatchi who could tell her that was long dead by the time she actually became bold enough to face her. Regardless of species, she was relatively friendly. In her youth, she had a strong habit of hoarding various objects, particularly gems, for reasons she learned were tied to her real species. She didn't take well to being bullied or otherwise bossed around, and never liked to see it happen to others either. Her life was a long and definitely not dull one. In her first couple days, she met her future husband Sentinel and was forcibly removed from her birthing home by an older dragonchi, Dracona, who believed she was intruding on her territory. Although she definitely raised a stink while it was going on, Vibria got over it relatively quickly and found herself a new home, which she shared with Sentinel. The two went on a few adventures together to find such things as gadgets and gemstones. When Vibria finally learned that she was no grendelchi, she decided that it was time for things to come full circle and went back to Draconoa's territory to challenge her. Unfortunately, Dracona had died long before Vibria became old enough to face her. The journey wasn't completely in vain, however, as Vibria took a spellbook from the deceased blue one's hoard. The tail end of her life was a peaceful one; she spent time with her husband, cared for her two unhatched eggs, and studied Dracona's spellbook whenever she had a free moment. In the end, she left the book behind for her children. She died peacefully, and she was given a gravestone by her husband Sentinel. Such was the life of the dragon who thought she was a grendel. May she rest in peace. |

Sentinel puts the finishing touches on Vibra's gravestone, a metal rose he found buried in the desert sands. After making sure their eggs are safe, he walks to his favorite spot in the oasis and takes a nap in the sun. | |||||||||||||

Vibria returns to her cave in the Oasis, spellbook in tow. She sits down in the nest guarded by the skeleton that has served as her bed for most of her life at this point, plops the book in front of her, opens it up, and starts reading it properly. Given her advanced age, she doubts she'll get much out of it before it's her turn to pass on. Maybe it'll be of use for her children, or maybe she can hide it somewhere should it prove to be dangerous. | |||||||||||||

The pair make their way into a large chamber, filled with the rusted remains of gadgets, and piles of treasure. Sentinel and Vibra find out that, yes the blue one is dead, and also that she seemingly died a long time ago. All that's left is a huge dragon skeleton, much like the Vibra found before, curled around the more valuable part of her hoard. The skeleton looks quite foreboding, as there is another glowing crystal behind her, making the cavern glow with a faint red light. Vibra's old hoard is nowhere to be seen at first, but one of them notices that it's off to one side behind the large dragon skeleton. Sentinel shivers and steps into the cavern first, He turns to Vibra though, more then a bit uncertain about how safe it is to be robbing a dragon's grave. "Well, you first. You probably remember what you had in your hoard more then I do. anyway..." He almost whispers the last line. "Plus it's a bit creepy here..." | |||||||||||||

After some time of standing there, Vibria calls out again. "Are you really that scared of me? I'm going to take back what once was mine, and this is your chance to stop me." Another couple moments pass, and she finally takes the time to realize just how old she and Sentinel are. Just how old was that blue one when she was first chased away, anyway? "I really hope I'm not wasting my time here...." she mumbles under her breath, before giving Sentinel an odd look and heading further into the blue one's territory...or at least the area that once was the blue one's territory, anyway. | |||||||||||||

Sentinel hangs back a bit, and watches their rear in case the blue Dragonchi tries to ambush them from behind. He does wonder if the dragonchi is even still alive though. Both he and Vibra are getting old, and the blue one must be even older them them. | |||||||||||||

It has been a while since Vibria set out for the blue one's territory, Sentinel by her side. She even had a couple of children in the intermission. Between that and the passing of time, she can feel the signs of aging on her body. Even as an old dragon, however, her life was active enough to keep her in top form and confident that she can face the blue one in battle if need be. Now, as she stands before the blue one's territory and her old home, she only wears a determined grimace. She turns to Sentinel and nods, before striding into the blue one's lair. She doesn't go far before she pulls her head back and roars with challenge. "I am here, blue one, offering you a challenge!" she cries, "Why don't you come here and face me like a real dragonchi? Or are you all bark and no bite?" | |||||||||||||

I'm going to put the RP on hold until Vibria's laid both her eggs (or as many eggs as she can before she gets old). Will resume once she's done. | |||||||||||||

Sentinel blushes a bit and says something he won't hopefully won't regret. "I consider us... a bit more then friends?" He quickly changes the subject though, and nods at her. "Lets go see what she's been up to, shall we?" | |||||||||||||
|
"Thank you very much," Vibria responds, "You've been with me for nearly my entire life to this point, and you have no idea how much it would hurt if I chased you away with that revelation. We're friends, and I hope we'll be together until the end." She then curls her hands up into fists and stares out of the cave. "Now let's go show the blue dragonchi who's boss." With that, she makes her way out of the cave. | |||||||||||||
