Amphibious like her father, Swift preferred the depths to the shallows, and spent much of her time down in the so called 'Midnight Zone,' where the fish make their own light and her color rendered her invisible in the inky waters. Her bioluminescent markings fit right in there! Besides, there is much to be discovered in a place where so few are able to go. When she did surface, she could usually be found on the beach, picking up bits of sea-glass from the surf for her collection. Now swift is just another ghost in the digital deep... RIP swift; D. The next stop, and quite possibly the final one, on Saya's pilgrimage was to the grave of her sister. Some part of her hoped Swift would still be alive, but she was hardly surprised when she was sorely mistaken. A quick look through the records revealed a grendelchi who lived in the deep sea. Saya never did test to see if she could breathe underwater like her father apparently could, but she was unwilling to try. So even if Swift was still alive, it was unlikely that Saya would be able to visit her. These records did reveal that Swift was born long before she herself was, so the fact that she died before Saya was even aware of her existence was even less surprising. As she had done with her father's and mother's graves, Saya knelt before her sister's to pay her respects. She couldn't help but be in awe of her sister's odd coloring; her parents' coloration didn't stick out to her considering her own scales displayed both of them, but those black scales (at least as they were depicted on the grave) were really quite striking. She was still there when the song came back, this time having an odd mixture of sadness and joy. She listened to it for a while, before finally judging that it was trying to say "return." Return to where? Did it want her to go back home? She got up, and after saluting her sister's grave she left, trying to decipher this new message all the while. | |||||||||||||||||||

Can't wait for Ranon and Swift's second egg to arrive and hatch! It will be fun to see if Thaw ends up with an almost-twin, or if this one takes on a very unique appearance. | |||||||||||||||||||

Baby Thaw doesn't understand much about the world but as she watches her mother doze off, she knows she's tired too. Snuggling up to Swift, she soon falls asleep in her mother's arms. | |||||||||||||||||||

Yeah, they do overlap it. I think red stripes were doing it before, but you can really see it now with the green. | |||||||||||||||||||
