The AGES command is only in C3/DS. Is there a way to set a chemical (in this case, 56 Aging) to an arbitrary value? |

would CHEM do the trick? |

Looks like it! But with what syntax for a command? The wiki page is only about using it in C3. |

from what I can see on CDN C2 CAOS (archive), the syntax is the same (I never did C2 caos, so I don't really know ...). The thing is, it doesn't set to, say, 50% with
it adds it, so to set it to a given value, you'd have to do some more stuff to it |

All the infusion COBs I looked at use something like this:
stim writ norn 0 255 0 0 56 50 0 0 0 0 0 0 |
which isn't too hard to figure out, but it works the same way as CHEM, adding chemicals instead of changing the value. Adding a negative sign also adds chemicals, but a different amount? I don't understand what's going on there. |

Having a negative sign on the values means your getting rid of chemicals instead of adding them
targ norn chem 56 -(value) |
should cause the selected creature to lose aging equal to the value set. Since this looks like creatures 1, it should be from 0-255 instead of in moles like C3 and DS.

You can do it in any of the various cheat modes, which trigger a command. Let me see if I can find it...
Edit: I'm not sure if I have the syntax exactly right, but try this:
If your intent is to create a force-aging agent, you'll need to determine the creature's age and run the command a certain number of times based on that. |

That's what I'm talking about, using a negative value does not result in reducing the chemical. targ norn chem 2 100 increases Need for Pleasure to 100, but targ norn chem 2 -50 spikes it to maximum.
The syntax for the C2 code is wrong, apparently, but I have no idea how to find out what it's supposed to be.
I really did not anticipate this being so difficult. No wonder they added an AGES command for C3... I'd say F it and let the little dudes live normally, but given the sheer number of breeds and genetic breeds I'm trying to get good pictures for combined with the problems C2 creatures especially have with keeping themselves alive unsupervised, that's just not feasible. |
